Watching the show for the third time now that I finally made my wife to commit to watch the series. We're starting season 3. A couple of observations: a) When you watch the show without the stress and tension of not knowing what will happen... the show can be really funny. Seriously, is closer to a dark humor sitcom than the suspense drama that I experienced the first time I watched it. b) I can't believe how many things happen in one single episode. Story arches that I remembered lasted for several episodes -or seemed to last for almost an entire season-, turns out only lasted for a couple of episodes. Amazing writing. c) It's frustrating how many chances wasted both Walt and Jesse to quit. Several times that -in hindsight- you know how bad it was a bad decision they took. Sometimes because of the circumstances, sometimes just for poor judgement.

Jesse's performance usually makes me forget that I'm watching an actor. When he shows all that emotion, I feel like "well, that's not really great acting, after all he's a junkie and has suffered a lot in his life, after all that he's been in through, obviously he'll show that kind of emotion". I find it hard to believe that he's not a stupid meth head in real life.
