As I was sitting in a classified location watching my Jets play I couldnt help but notice how bad we looked after Keller went out, I know people have said that Westy loves Mulligan but damn that guy looked like shit. I had gone to sleep at half time so how did he do in the 2nd half?

I was thinking of ways Mulligan should die pretty much that entire first half.

Keller was back in the 2nd half. Mulligan was only used as a blocker in the 2nd half and, somehow(!!), committed no penalties.

Hey man, I hope all is well. Good to see you drop a post in.

Mulligan is very good on ST... but he sucks as a blocking TE, both in pass pro & in run blocking.

I think we can certainly find an upgrade in terms of contribution on O, I don't care if it results in a downgrade on ST. Hopefully Nelson out-plays him in practice... even Baker. Atill pissed we didn't sign Manumaluena... guess the guy isn't healthy.

seriously, was ben hartsock too expensive to retain as the blocking tight end? not that he was spectacular, but he was far better than mulligan.

I was pretty upset with Mulligan too. Glad he got pulled for a play and chewed out by Moore and Schotty.

I think we have a talented team, but is it me or does it seem like we're thin at a lot of positions? Maybe Mulligan just needs more practice time with the first string offense.

I don't know about that neither. Maybe Nelson they brought in the other day sees an increased role once he gets the playbook down.

I cannot believe I would actually be happy to get Hartsock back... is it so hard to find a good blocking TE!?

He was shameful but strictly blocked in the 2nd half when Keller returned. Hopefully Nelson will be used.

I want them to go after a second tight end after this season, because I think two tight ends in this system would be devastating

Cumberland was looking promising... too bad he tore his achilles... wonder when he'll come back.

He's really not. He was no better than Mulligan is. Another walking yellow flag.

I love the nostalgia for other shitty TEs going on in this thread. Hartsock and Mulligan are both terrible TEs. Hartsock had the better blocking technique and Mulligan is(slightly) less of a penalty concern.

If Hartsock was back on the team, we'd all be asking saying how awesome Mulligan was.

We are definitely drafting a tight end in the '12 draft.

better blocker than Hartsock with the same limitations

if our biggest problem is the second string blocking tight end, the Jets are in very good shape

Didn't he drop a TD in Oakland, though?
