Has nothing to do with getting it. Obviously there are plenty of people here who appreciate the guy's humor (3 people were offended enough to reply withing 5 minutes of my post which is pretty funny in and of itself), I just don't find him very amusing and could really care less whether anyone agrees with me.
I'm sorry, I wasn't aware Jones was going to be back in time for the Jets game. Roosevelt is still an unknown.
A Bills fan is criticizing the Jets' defense? Wait...even better, the Jets' pass rush and run defense? How are those 4 sacks looking?
I think it's too early to talk about the play offs when the Jets haven't proved if they want to win or lose this year.
There is nothing SOJ about guaranteeing a SB and actually doing it. That is JETS culture that's engrained in this teams history. What’s an entirely new Jets culture is guaranteeing it and failing time after time. That's a new culture that Rex stamping on this team if he doesn't get over the hump. The future is anyone's guess and embracing the future is simply dealing with the reality that the past isn't worth embracing. Having hope for something doesn't make you better than those who understand that talking isn't the same as doing.
Here is something that hasn't been mentioned in thsi thread but will be an interesting matchup to watch when the Bills play the Jets is C.J Spiller lining up at WR. He played WR most of the game against the Giants and did fairly well. Will be interesting to see what he can do against the Skins this week. If he poses as a threat, we are going to give D-coordinators fits.
they've been saying they're gonna play him at WR forever. he hasn't done shit i had him on my fantasy team in hopes that would happen and it didn't. 5 receptions for 39 year yards isn't really "fairly well"
So the same can be said for you guys. You guys beat the Cowboys, Dolphins and Chargers do to them giving the game away. Oh yea thats right........this doesn't go for the Jets, just for the other 31 teams in the NFL.
For his first career start there i would say he did fairly well. All it takes is that one quick slant or drag route that gets him in space with his speed. I trust Gailey to be able to come up with some plays to evolve around his skillset. Lets see how this plays out. I'm just excited that he will see the field more often. He may catch 4 or 5 balls for a simple 20 yards. But that next 5 yard dumpoff could go for 60+ yards.
haha just reading these posts about Roosevelt. Personally I'm sick of hearing his name. He wouldn't even be on the team if it wasn't for some early season ending injuries at the position. He's a hometown kid playing for the hometeam. I would rather have someone from outta state that can play then a hometown kid that has no athleticism and limited potential.
And the Jets are? The Jags and Fins are "big guys" this season? What happened to the mighty Jets when they traveled to the Left Coast? They didn't bring home a win, either. First off, skippy, the Bills can stop the run much better than they did last season -- and the Jets don't run nearly as well as they did last season. Moreover, Sanchez sucks, and the Jets D is not nearly as good as it was the previous 2 years. What happened last year doesn't affect what happens this year. The Bills are as likely to sweep the Jets as the Jets sweep the Bills. The most likely outcome is a split, which is the likeliest outcome for any divisional series, but homers be homers. BTW, what makes Jets fans think they can beat the Pats? As for "matching up", ahem: The Bills don't have a very good pass defense, but the Jets don't have an offense that can really take advantage of that. The Bills running game is highly ranked while Jets run defense is almost as bad as the Bills pass defense. The Bills have the ability to score a lot of points, scoring TDs on 75% of their Red Zone trips, while the Jets have difficulty scoring TDs in the Red Zone. The Bills have a ball-hawking defense and Sanchez can turn into a TO machine when he gets rattled as he did against Baltimore. Neither team gets all that much pressure on the passer, but Fitzpatrick has been on the money while Sanchez has not. Chan Gailey isn't Norv Turner or Tony Sparano. He's already out-coached Belichick and Reid this season. Don't be surprised if he out-coaches Ryan.
Are you seriously comparing the emotion following a 2 week gap after a regular season game to the emotion following our two big playoff road wins? I guarantee we're not taking the Bills lightly right now. Not after they beat the Patriots. Not when they have the better record. The trap games you're talking about are against competition that's clearly inferior. And I hate the bullshit "we could have had xxx record if this had happened". It works both ways with wins and losses. Look at the Bills. They barely lost in their two defeats, so they could easily be 6-0...but they also barely eked out wins in 3 games, so they could easily be 1-5. It all depends on which way you look at it. If you want this team to have been close to a disaster last season, that's how you're going to see it. Personally, I see us as 11-5 because we were 11-5. We're 3-3 in the weeks leading up to games against the Patriots in the Rex Ryan era. Two of those three losses came against a Ravens team that matches up well against us. You can call it "looking forward to the Pats" in all of those games. I call it losing to a team that matches up well with us. This is so fucking stupid. You've posted absolutely nothing in here that indicates we should be worried about this game because of the team's character. You've posted meaningless "bits of team history" that are just plain wrong. The ONLY thing I agree with is that we play poorly after the bye (which explains that last pre-Pats loss). You can hang your hat on bye week history repeating itself if you want to. Personally, I'm only concerned because of the quality of the team on the other side of the field, not some horseshit I can concoct in my mind.
I'm getting really fucking tired of this, especially coming from so-called "Jets fans." Why is it that Romo "gave" the win to the Jets, but Sanchex didn't "give" the game to the fucking Ravens? Just like we converted and SCORED on Romo's fuck-ups, the Ravens converted on Sanchez's. So if we should have lost to the Cowgirls, then we should have beaten the Ravens, so same fucking record, same fucking team. Stop with pathetic half-thought thru analysis.
 oh yeah ... the Bills are a brick wall this year! there's 31 other teams in the league and they stop the run better than all but 29 of them  But yes ... you've done a better job than last year. how could you not??? the Jets got stuffed running against Dallas (#1) and Baltimore (#3). we put up 162 yards against SD (#21). You guys are #30! Believe me ... we'll have no trouble running the ball ... and that will allow play action to expose the HUGE holes in your pass defense ... also ranked #30 BTW. At least your defense is consistent
There's a marked improvement in Sanchez's game when he's not facing constant pressure. As you admitted below, the Bills are the worst in the league in getting pressure. Our run defense has improved, especially since Ellis found his way onto the field. The impact could be acutely seen with his departure last week. If he's healthy, you'll see a much better run defense, albeit one still facing a very good back in Fred Jackson. Furthermore, our run defense is actually better than the Bills'. Teams have had success in sheer volume. Our YPC are middle of the pack, while the Bills are scraping the bottom. Unfortunately, the only team with more rushing attempts against it is the Colts.
