Predicting playoff positions this early in a season is an exercise bordering on futility. A few key injuries and other factors can change the picture considerably. As every year, the good teams that can stay healthy at key positions will advance.
Have you watched the Bengals play? How are they less consistent than the Jets who can't even put together 2 decent halves in the same game most Sundays? The Bengals are built to win against the Ravens and Steelers: they have a tough defense, a good running game, and a talented WR corps. They have a rookie QB who is playing at least as well as Sanchez. If the Jets are capable of winning 10 or more games, so are the Bengals. Moreover, expecting to sweep the Bills is plain homerism.
I'm thinking you overestimating your defense. The Jets defense clearly isn't the same defense from last season..........you guys still have issues getting a pass rush and stopping the run.
Really? Maybin is a situational pass rusher. So, unless it's 3rd and 20+, if the Jets put Maybin in, the Bills will run Freddie Jackson right at him. Maybe even if it is 3rd and 20+, they still run right at him. Maybin is a liability in the the run defense, and Chan Gailey is a lot better coach than Norv Turner.
the bengals still have to play pittsburgh and baltimore twice each. i think it's very possible they go 0-4 in those games. the bengals schedule has been pretty soft to this point. i believe the seattle game is at seattle. with tavaris jackson in, they play pretty well at home. pittsburgh will get one of those wildcard spots. i think the ravens hold on to win the division. really it comes down to the bills being our biggest obstacle, who i think are not as good as their record indicates. yeah they were the feel good story etc, but when it comes down to it they're not that great. they had two games where they had a shit ton of takeaways (new england and philly) but other than that their defense gives up big chunks of yards. they'll come back to earth and finish 8-8 or 9-7. we HAVE to sweep them though.
they're gonna run every third and long? are you a retard? wait, don't answer that. i think your previous posts have already explained that well enough anything that is 3rd and 7 and above is an obvious passing situation
The jets like to blitz corners and safeties which is basically what Maybin has been doing because hes better at it. They use him like a blitzing defensive back and is never used as a run stopper. Running on third in long because Maybin is on the field is just stupid. Hope Chan is a lot smarter then you and hope that you can atleast put together an average game plan on defense and it will be a lot closer game then many people here think. In the end though its really not much of a different team then last year that got beat by us on a week where we were resting our players.
Chan Gailey_ 54 26 28 0 .481 0-2 playoffs Norval Turner- 211 103 107 1 .490 4-4 playoffs There isn't much of a difference. Anyone saying that one is better than the other, is an idiot or a troll, maybe both.
Was this supposed to prove him wrong? I'm especially scared of Roosevelt and his 16 career catches in 2 years.
Please tell me that you guys are seriously not starting this before halloween ....LOL Lot of football to play fellas. Not point in projecting 11-5 when we are 4-3 and heading into a bye week. Its just silly. We are in good shape as a team, we seem to be progressing well after some shaky games to start the season - back to playing Jets football. So hopefully we continue to see steady improvement week to week from here on out. That is the key - must keep getting better and hope for good luck. 11-5? lol way to early for that stuff.... lets just come out of the bye ready to ground and pound.
Nelson - 27rec 319yds 2TD Jones - 16rec 174yds 1TD(missed 2 games) Holmes - 22rec 311yds 3TD Looks like our #2 & #3 WR is outplaying your #1 guy
Dude we started Brian freaking Brohm.......dont act as if we went full go ourselves. If you really believe this is the same Bills team from last year than you haven't been watching much Bills football. Last year was year#1 of installing a new scheme on offense and defense. We have a new RT, moved Wood from RG to has natural position of C. We have a different #2 WR, 2 new ILBs in Barnett and Sheppard. We got rid of average players in Whitner and Poz and promoted Wilson who has outplayed Whitner for the past 3 years. This is def not the same Bills team as 2010. The only thing you can take from last season is after starting 0-8 we finished 4-4 and are currently 8-6 in our last 14 games. All of our wins this season are against quality opponents.....Chiefs, Raiders, Patriots and Eagles........you cant call that a fluke.
Personally, You guys need to be in the playoff race come week 17... Don't clinch before or completely eliminated... 10 wins should get you in. Don't think a 9 win season will get you in this year since they seems to be many more competitive teams that are above average to make the playoffs.
Actually, Holmes has the best stats on that list, albeit while being double teamed and being in a broken offense for 3 weeks. But go ahead, argue that Jones and Nelson are better players than Santonio Holmes.
No because DB are having a hard time covering them. If Holmes is getting doubled most of the time then how come Plax, Mason and Keller aren't putting up good numbers? I hope Rex does overlook those 3......it'll be a long day for you guys.
Bengals have beaten teams that are a combined 8-19. And uh, that includes your Bills. They are not exactly knocking off the big guys.
