you are being a total homer!

jackson has a been a top back for a few years now, while tolbert and mathews are just starting to play good ball. good god, you don't have to wear the green glasses all the time.

to say mathews and tolbert are better than jackson shows how little you watch football!

I didn't say they were better. I said that Fred Jackson isn't way better than the Chargers' backs.

Saying that Fred Jackson is a top back in this league is fucking retarded. The dude didn't rush for 1000 yards last season. In fact, in three full seasons, he's only eclipsed the 1,000 yard mark once. He's also never scored more than 7 TDs in a season.

I shit things that know more football than you.

Great post. I Would add that historically 10-6 getting a playoff spot is a little over 80% so I am only concerned about beating the teams we are better then, and then showing up against the better teams.

I think a couple of you guys are crazy.
The Bengals are a 7 win team ... maybe 8 if they win @Seattle but I doubt it.
The Bills are an 8 win team at best.
The Raiders would have been a threat, but not with Palmer. Even if he was still good (which he isn't) he's been sitting on a couch for 9 months and it will take him too long to ramp up again.

I think the AFC playoff teams will be Jets, Pats, Ravens, Steelers, Texans, Chargers ... because they clearly have the best talent in the conference.

Bengals are not going to be in the playoff. I don't care what their schedule looks like, they are not consistent enough to win 10 games. 8-8 is their best record if things fall in place.

Ravens should take that division while Pittsburgh takes a wild card. Bills have played well but their luck will end here. Not going to get 4 turnovers every game to win it on the last drive. If we can win 10, we will be in the playoffs. Bills, Bills, Broncos, Redskins, Chiefs and Mia should be victories. That gets you to 10 victories. Plus you have Patriots and Giants at home, and Philly on the road. Jets can probably win one or two out these three, but lose a game or two that they should win out of the other 6 I mentioned. 10-6 minimum, and probably 11-5.

fred jackson is a top back and your're still being an idiotic homer for not giving the guy the credit. mathews and tolbert don't belong in the same sentence as jackson.

you must have shit your brains out long ago.

you are the same guy who said stats are overrated. Put Jackson on the Jets and he gets 1500 a year easy. He has had no line in Buffalo the last few years.

Your logic makes no sense. You say stats do not matter when you praise Sanchez yet now stats matter.

I said fantasy football made the average fan put too much value into statistics. ...definitely didn't say that stats don't matter.

I think Jets split with Buffalo

Win vs KC, DEN, NE, MIA, NYG

Have a bad loss vs Washington(We always have some dud) and lose to Philly

10-6.....that should be enough IMO. I think Texans are going to finish 3rd in the AFC so having the 6th seed might not be terrible at this point. Jets can beat Houston(They've never lost to them in franchise history).

Where did I not give him credit? I mentioned him being the main reason that the Bills could beat us.

Mathews and Tolbert are averaging over 100 yards rushing a game together, plus 85 yards a game receiving. The Chargers backfield is on the same level as Fred Jackson and the little help he's getting from CJ Spiller.

185 total yards a game for SD's duo
172 total yards a game for BUF's duo

Jackson has been the most efficient back on the ground, but to say Mathews and Tolbert aren't worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence as him doesn't make sense.

Is that why you guys drafted Spiller? Cuz Jackson was a top 3 RB in the NFL?

AFC Can be broken down to these teams as of now:

    1. Patriots 5-1
    2. Ravens 4-1 (Most likely 5-1 after tonight)
    3. Chargers 4-2
    4. Texans 4-3
    5. Steelers 5-2
    6. Bengals 4-2
    7. Bills 4-2
    8. Raiders 4-3
    9. Jets 4-3
    10. Titans 3-3
    11. Chiefs 3-3
    12. Browns 3-3

With the Broncos, Jaguars, Colts and Dolphins likely already Out.

Out of the final 12: The Browns, Titans, Chiefs and Bengals don't have good teams.

Leaves 8 Teams Left: Patriots, Ravens, Steelers seem like locks to me.

Which leaves the Chargers (West winners) Texans (South winners).

So 1 spot left for either the Jets, Raiders, or Bills.

Should be a fun final 10 weeks.

you would be a much better coach than norvelous norv.

that 2 minute offense at the end of the game ( film) should be enshrined in canton.

I can see Oakland winning the division from SD. SD is 0-2 vs the lone good teams they have played this year. They still got 2 games with OAK, KC, BUF, GB, DET, CHI and BAL. Jacksonville, Denver are the lone gimmie games.

OAK got their 3 games with the east out of the way which is huge for them. Lone obstacles are GB, SDx2, DET, KC, CHI. They play Miami, Denver, Minnesota which should be 3 wins. They just need to go 3-3(Split with SD of course) vs their tough games and that should be enough with 10 wins.

SD playing BAL while OAK got CLE is what it might come down too....
(Likewise HOU being unable to beat OAK on that final play)

You are what your record says you are. For the Jets right now that is 9th place in a system in which 6 teams make the playoffs. If the Jets get hot and catch some breaks they'll make the playoffs. If they wait for something nice to happen, as they did in 2009, they won't.

Right now my money is on the Jets not making the playoffs, primarily because their early season play suggests they're not good enough to make them. Which is why they're currently 9th in the pecking order.

To be fair the Jets played 1 more game than CIN or BUF...

CIN has not played Baltimore OR Pittsburgh yet. They should be lucky to go 1-3 among them.
