Maybin is very gifted and absolutely awful. Funnily enough, his gifts and his suckage complement each other fairly well. He has no clue how to get past a blocker, but once he's sprawling on his back or knocked five yards upfield, he has his opponent exactly where he wants him. He'll use his speed to get right back into the play untouched.

In any case, on plays where we rush four, he reduces the time we need to get a coverage sack from +infinity to around seven seconds. If he ever figures out how to get to the quarterback without doing a practice lap, he'll be amazing; but with our CBs, even with his current skills, he's well worth a spot on the active roster.

It's truly amazing, if the kid had at least one move he could actually be dangerous.

.... Maybin has played 3 games.. N his stats are..... 3 Forced fumbles 2 sacks 4 tackles 3 solo 1 assist..... I dont know about u guys but this kid can play, he doesn't suck still in learning mode. I pay attention 2 maybin and nothing else when he is on the field, he is working on moves, i've seen a short bull rush followed by a step around. He has also been doubled a few times.

He will force more fumbles which hopefully we recover, he has the chip on his shoulder, and the fact that he is going for the strip + tackle shows he is trying to prove he can play out there....

Maybin gets a sack n 2 tackles vs the Chargers... My prediction lol

Maybin is a work in progress, I heard Pettine'd been working with him watching film of the plays he gets washed out and recovers. They want Maybin to develop a spin move as O-Linemen now know he's just gonna try and run past them on the snap they want him to get them leaning that way and reverse back inside. For that to happen the DE and NT have to take up the G and C effectively to free up Maybin but I see him as a Jet for the next few years if he keeps up this hunger and full force play

He needs to to work a lot harder on his rhymes than his rush technique

    Mayhem Maybin/Quarterback Cravin/go hard, crazy/
    defensive Wes Craven/the o-line can't save them

    Yikes..

He's a very good situational player and his upside in the Jets' system is pretty good.

i have said it before, if Maybin can develop into a pure pass rusher he will ave us from drafting that OLB pass rusher next year and allow us to replace Thomas or work on the O line in the draft.

I'm re-watching the pats game and there was one play where he managed to rip and cut back inside to get a clear lane at Brady.Unfortunately it was a quick drop back by Brady so he go rid of it before Maybin got near him but it was a sign that he was willing/could use other moves other than trying to run past the guy.

He's a lot of fun to watch.

They finally got him off the LT and got him isolated on a RB, and he got a legit sack.

    Good for the kid.

Am I going to say that Rivers held the ball for too long? No, let's give the kid credit.

And he was knocked to the ground by Mathews too.

To be fair, that was the definition of a coverage sack. Good persistence, though.

maybin needs to see more of the field, but he also needs to get himself under control a bit more. but he has made alot of strides this season.

Maybin was all up in rivers face even with a 3/4 man rush at the end.

this kid is playing great. imagine when he learns a move or two

    thank you bills

I don't think anyone expected this kind of production from the kid for the entire season, let alone 4 games

Other then the one sack very early in the game did you notice Maybin at all because I didn't. Our pass rush was pretty bad today.
