Anybody that answers no to this question has to much faith in something that isn't going to happen, u take the picks trade up and try again. Yes Sanchez can make some pretty good throws winning in this league now takes an elite QB, last team that didn't have one and won was Tampa bay in 03

Isn't it the same thing answering yes, putting faith in two unproven rookies?

Do we have an elite QB lined up to replace him?

Wow, this thread just gets more and more sad each time I check in to it. It's like a clearing house for SOJFs who need to find something to whine about with a few completely ignorant Bills and Pats fans thrown in for good measure.

To all of you football geniuses who feel that we should dump Sanchez and get an "elite" QB so we can "win now", please explain how you would propose going about doing that and who you would like to see as our new franchise QB.

    Anybody?...

Obviously we would deal the 2 pretend 1st rounders from the pretend Sanchez trade to move up in the pretend draft and select pretend Andrew Luck!
The Dolphins would be like "Hi Jets, you want to trade us 2 whole 1st rounders for our franchise savior? Thrown in Mike DeVito and YOU GOT A DEAL!"
    Championship!

    Duuuuhhh.

The Jets don't need an elite QB to replace Sanchez because Sanchez has only been mediocre up to now. His alleged flashes of "brilliance" are infrequent enough to simply be examples of the proverbial blind squirrell occasionally getting lucky and finding a nut.

Different times, different eras. While this analogy might seem to be valid on the surface, they were playing a far different game in the seventies when Bradshaw played. Its even a lot different than the game of the early 90's in Aikman;s day

Sanchez is what he is. He's NOT going to get radically better. That being said, he has shown qualities that should be valued. He HAS played well in big games. He's a good QB, just not a great one. Several NFL teams have won superbowls with "good QBs".

The only way that Sanchez is going to get better would be to surround him with better players. HE's not going to make average players better than average, a la Tom Brady. Jet fans would be better off coming to grips with reality and be thankful for what you have right now, and enjoy what your team has managed to accomplish the last 2 years.

At THIS moment the Jets have a 3-3 record and have should they win against a very good Charger team, put themselves back into contention for a playoff spot in the AFC. And if they don't.....well you always have that win in Foxboro, LAST year, to keep you warm THIS winter.

KEN, you really LOVE capitalizing MANY words in your POSTS to make your POINTS seem more VALID or IMPORTANT than they actually ARE in MANY different THREADS.

I DO still enjoy THAT win last YEAR in Foxboro. But you are right IT is irrelevant THIS year, just as all THOSE Super Bowls the PATS won years AGO while CHEATING are irrelevant TODAY.

If you want more relevant comparisons, look at Drew Brees's first 3 years, pretty similar. Plenty of guys have struggled early and started getting it going in year 3, 4, 5 or so. People who are so quick to jump on Sanchez forget how inexperienced he truly is after playing just 16 college games. Ideally he would have sat most of his rookie year while a veteran like Chad had the reigns, but that didn't happen. He was thrown into the fire and struggled mightily sometimes. He also had some great moments. People also neglect to mention how he's handcuffed by an incompetent coordinator, how his line has been terrible this year, and that his receivers have been changed on him every year of his career.

Screw all the other stuff. How many more starts before Sanchez can read a defense. Does that happen in season 4?
