I hear the "Sanchez is great when it counts" argument on this board consistently. He has averaged 194 yards per playoff game. He has been a good game manager who kept the defense honest against a solid run game. They have been successful for the past two years not because of Sanchez, but also not in spite of him.

The three TD's he threw against you guys in the playoffs last year really ticked you off didn't it? That's what caused the amnesia you're suffering from?

    Good job cherrypicking one statistic.

Tom Brady sucks because his offense only scored 3 points for 50 minutes at home in the divisional playoff game last year.

    I can do it too.

I'm fairly certain you aren't arguing that Tom Brady is not a good quarterback based on 1 game. I used a 6 game sample size to determine that at this point in his career, Sanchez has been a good game manager in the playoffs, but nothing more.

How about touchdowns? INT's? 1.5 and .5. Not being a superstar quarterback, but also not turning the ball over. More proof that Sanchez has managed the game well in the playoffs, but he is not what this board makes him out to be when it comes to the playoffs.

You mean back in the Farve days when I said Farve didn't act like a leader of the Jets....and you strongly disagreed with me. Guess I was wrong about that one also. Farve was a GREAT Jet leader.....lol.

Actually, you said the Jets had no leadership whatsoever.

And you said Farve was a great Jet leader. That we were lucky to have him.

And you were wrong but never admitted it.

We were lucky to have him at the time. Did it work out? Obviously it didn't. Hindsight is 20/20.

But to say Favre, or anybody on the team for that matter, didn't provide any leadership....is fucking stupid.

even though it's hypothetical, i'm almost positive outside GMs would never even offer 2 first rounders for sanchez to begin with

No its fucking true. SO who was our great leader that year...Mangini?

Better yet - why did we have a great team and not make the playoffs that season. They lacked leadership.

Wait that would be fucking stupid to suggest to someone whos fucking stupid and likes to pretend he understands football. MB have you ever played football beyond the park? Didn't think so.

Edit - BTW I didn't NEED hindsight to evaluate what was happening. I told you as it was happening - and you reacted like you are reacting in this thread.

There is no doubt in my mind we would be able to receive 2 first rounders for Sanchez from some teams.

    This.

No disrespect intended. No team in the NFL would offer up two 1st round picks for Sanchez right now. I know this is all hypothetical anyway.

The Raiders overpaid for Palmer, but that doesn't set the market for the rest of the league. If any team has a history of idiotic trades, it's Oakland.

Sanchez seems to have made some improvements and has definitely had some very impressive moments. I don't know if the game is "slowing down" for him like analysts always talk about, but I wouldn't put him anywhere near the "bust" category yet. Not even close. The bottom line is he's been the QB of a winning team. That, IMO, is the most important stat. I'm sure you guys would like to see more out of him, and maybe it's there but just needs more time and experience. Don't forget he only started one year at USC.

    Big Cat Ellis

And you spouted off a shitload of rubbish. Which is why your intelligence level was polled in the TT forum.

No you said Favre was the big leader. BTW - an offense needs one solid leader - usually the QB. Non of the players you mentioned stepped up except Ellis a few times - and that was for the defense. The offense deferred to Farve.

    It's pretty simple.

Everything was fine while Favre was healthy and they were 8-3. Favre got hurt and everything went to shit. Leadership wasn't the issue. Lack of available talent was.

You already lost this argument 3 years ago. The fact that you're trying so hard to defend that same argument today is both funny, and sad.

    Seriously based on what?

He is just an average QB...

Past Monday night, We are fucking terrible...and he looked awful for parts of the game.

A top QB ain't looking bad against us at any period of the game.
