This to me is very clear. NO PI or holding. Marshall is good, but I put him in the Des Bryant category. Too flakey and too capable of self-destruction to be on a winning team
I rewound it a couple times last night and the Dolphins didn't even really seem to be TRYING to catch him. One guy kinda jogged towards him, and then the somersault guy... what was THAT? Nobody was even around him to cause such shenanigans.
Miami has the tiebreaker with worse record in the previous season. The scary thought for all the Suck for Luckers is: what if Luck says no to them? We've had at least three QB's turn down a team (John Elway forcing the trade from Cleveland to Denver, Peyton Manning by staying in school after his junior season instead of coming out to the Jets, Eli Manning by forcing the trade to the Giants instead of playing in San Diego) because they had the mojo to say no. Miami could go 0-16 and have Luck say no way and they'd have no recourse but to trade him.
Once Gruden has his mind made up, he will not change. I thought that Marshall was falling into/towards Revis as well, and the replay showed what I thought was a good no-call.
I'm not a big fan of show boating, but I must admit, Revis running in the endzone backwards was classic!
When we got home from the game, I put it on to see the pick. I couldn't believe how adamant Gruden was on PI. I kept saying is he fukin crazy? Marshall clearly lost his balance when he tried to push Revis w/his left then his right arm and whiffed causing him to lose his balance and fall forward. They showed it like 3 more times and Gruden wouldn't budge.... afa the flip goes, missed it @ the stadium but if you watch the replay even after the flip when they goto the EZ view, there is another DollF who just falls down for no reason...lol
haha GREAT!! I originally thought he was desperately trying to get a "block in the back" call. But nobody even touched him haha
As a neutral observer, I didn't think that the first Revis pick should have been a PI call. That shit happens all the time, in every game. Gotta be honest too. Revis is, at this particular moment, the best player in the NFL, at any position.
