Our line looked pretty good and I like that we used guys who normally don't get any touches.

The dude has been in prison for the last 3 years and barely had any training camp. I wasn't expecting Plax to be halfway-serviceable until at least mid-season.

    Sanchez threw no picks.
Sanchez's passes were mostly fine (the end of the game long ball was bullshit), the majority of the incompletions were on the receivers for not being able to catch a ball they can get their hands on.

Aside from that, not much..0-5 pathetic team that's destined for a winless season and a coaching change putting them off of our radar until 2013 at the very least.

Despite people pointing at regression etc, I actually think he has progressed well in terms of taking care of the football. The fumbles are less problematic as they come from clean sacks on the qb and less of his making.

His percentage of completion is on the way up as well, but he is 29th in 1st%, which i troublesome.

The D on 3rd down. That was about it.

The offense in the 1st quarter was as bad as I've ever seen.

Fellas, this was like winning the special olympics. Our drooling spastic retards are better than theirs.

This team doesn't win pretty, how many pretty wins have we had in 2+ years? I'm encouraged by the O from late in the first half through the end of the game. Sanchez looked really tentative early then actually started throwing it w/ some authority and played really well the rest of the way. The OL played better but the running game is still a work in progress.

I was encouraged to see the protection and to see Sanchez finally get into a rythm, but it was yet ANOTHER painfully slow start (we didn't convert on 3rd down until 25 minutes into the game).

I'm encouraged by the O-line's protection, but we really need 1st downs in the 1st quarter of games. I don't know what the answer is.

  10. It started off rocky, which is to be expected given the team's struggles, division rival with an extra week to prepare.

The thing I liked, is the team got back to playing Jet football. Playing physical up front, dominant 3rd down D and great special teams. That's the jets formula and that was most definitely present from the 2nd qtr on.

They'll need to play much better against the Chargers, but this was a start.

I like the fact that when Miami actually gave up we seperated from them.

I thought Wilkerson and Kenrick Ellis played well which is great to see from the rookies. De Vito was very good against the run.

Definately the pass protection, at times Sanchez looked like Brady out their the Fins couldn't even get close...hopefully the OL has turned the corner because Miami might have mailed it in ..

mostly good coming out of this game.

sanchez- like someone stated, once he learned that his line was actually blocking for him, he was able to see downfield and hit some receivers. he did have a handful of erratic throws on those deep out routes. but the way i see it, its better that he misses towards the sideline than have a DB get his hands on it. still could see some improvements there...

schotty- putrid first 4 series. once again he looked predictable to start. and on 3rd and 4 do we realy have to bust out a gadget play? he doesnt have any normal plays that will get 4 yards? once we put together that 80 yd TD drive tho he kinda found a groove and called a good game. biggest thing, we really need to figure out how to start off a game.

running game- greene looked pretty good to me. although his stats werent great there werent many times were i thought he couldve gotten much more yards. offensive line did a better job pass blocking than run blocking, but were improving little by little.. i think as the year goes on well see a little better performance each week.

receivers looks good except for plax. hes a big question mark at this point. he looks slow getting out of his cuts and has dropped some easy passes. really liked kerley and mcknight running some nice routes and keller was keller.

run defense is still a problem. we looked good up the gut a bunch of times but those off tackle runs are still a problem. we need to do a better job with contain. revis looked awesome. safeties didnt get challenged much but lil jimmy made some nice tackles. cro looked horrid once again on the long play to that moron marshall. maybin looked awesome, if he can keep this up hes gonna be a huge surprise. it seems every time u notice him on the field hes strip tackling someone. david harris laid the biggest lick ive ever seen. had to rewind about 12 times. awesome.

special teams. great except for that fumble early on. a good time will capitalize there. we got lucky. awareness has got to improve on that unit.

overall. much improvement from the losing streak weve been on and i actually am not too worried. but we need to put together a complete game if we wanna beat the good teams. not worried at all about the whole locker room nonsense that the media is obsessed with. we are a team and our biggest question marks are on the field not off. we should be in for another heart pounding season gentlemen.

Saw some good stuff from the young guys:

    - McKnight continues to impress
    - Wilson erased Bess
    - Conner had some skull-crushers
    - Ellis looked solid in the run game
    - Kerley lit the fuse for the offense finally
    - Maybin is fucking FAST

We gotta play better than that next time we play a non JV opponent but nice bounceback game.

    - Oh and Ducasse got a snap and nobody was killed in the process.

Absolutely, Dixon played a very good game. As did Pouha and Wilkerson. Ellis didn't look lost out there for a guy playing in his first game. Even MTV dominated Pouncey on one play to blow up a red zone play. If the Jets D-Line is winning the battles up front, you aren't going to move the ball on us.

Obviously, as others have pointed out, the offensive line play was the most encouraging thing about last night's game. The Dolphins aren't exactly the '00 Ravens on defense, but they gave Sanchez time to throw and he responded with a sharp second half.

Funny how the playcalling doesn't seem so retarded when the QB isn't running for his life on every play.

Another positive for me was the fact that, although Burress had an awful day as a receiver, he made several great blocks down field. That shows me that, although he's clearly frustrated, he's keeping his head in the game. That attitude is gonna pay off eventually.

Holding Cam Wake to nothing is pretty good. As you said, not the 2000 Ravens, but Wake is a nasty pass rusher, and Sanchez had plenty of time.
