let the politics slide. OP was a douchebag to throw a line like that in his post but what do you expect from a hysterical hyperbolic bandwagon fan like that?

It sure would be nice to see what nacho could do with a real OC though. At least then we'd know for sure if the Jets have a legit franchise QB.

Stopped reading here, Coleman was a pile of shit and was replaced more than adequately. The 2011 Jet CB corps is the best one they've had in a very long time.

Your whole point is garbage. Disgusting, reactionary, ungrateful garbage. Sadly a large portion of our fanbase thinks like you. 5 games in to the fucking season you post that crap against the best coach we've had in decades - go try on some Packers shirts.

then go be a giants fan!

this team is as competitive as it ever has been because of rex!

even though they haven't won the superbowl (missed their opportunity these past 2 years), the attitude has changed. this isn't the soj.

while i'll agree this team isn't as talented as last years and tanny screwed the pooch so to speak as far as the free agent aquisitions this season, this team is in good hands and headed in the right direction. if you can't see that then you're clueless about football.

tanny should have seen the depth problems on this team as far as the oline, receivers and safeties, but it's too late to change it mid season. overall he's done well, time for a minor rebuild on the fly. we'll be competitive but not likely super bowl contenders this year.

Some of the issues are about to get managed. Rex is going to have to shift into "you are what you are" mode because the Super Bowl talk just looks stupid right now. The Jets may recover some later in the season and begin to look like a playoff team and then he'll start back up with that stuff but for now I think it's on the way out.

Tannenbaum is getting a good look at what bad depth does to a team and hopefully he's learning something. If not he'll be out the door in a year or two.

You will never be able to explain to me, why from the start this past pre-season, why they just ignored the OL, acting like they were set. While teams like the Ravens were signing good vets, originally as depth moves and now the guys are starting, the Jets acted like they had 5 Pro Bowler on the OL.

You're absolutely right. No one will be able to explain it to you.

tanny overevaluated certain guys, i understood why he wanted to get younger but i watched slausen and hunter and never felt they were good enough to be starters. he did the same thing replacing thomas jones with shonne greene based on one playoff performance, it just seems like a patern.

Frankly, Tannenbaum just had a bad offseason and adapted to the lockout realities poorly. This has made much of his body of work over the years look worse than it really was at the time.

Losing Damien Woody and Braylon Edwards was a big deal. It really was. The Jets probably are a real playoff contender this season with both of those guys back and healthy and they probably aren't without them.

The Ravens signed players who suck and got cut from their former teams for very obvious reasons to be STARTERS. They did this because they didn't have anybody to play for them. The Jets had their starters, and 2 key reserves lined up to back them up with Turner and Ducasse.

Turner got injured obviously, and relying on Ducasse was a mistake in retrospect. Who would have expected Mangold AND their best backup to both get injured early in the season?

You can't seriously think Andre Gurode was looking to sign here to be a backup. He went to a team that had obvious holes and needed him to start, even though he sucks and is at the end of his career.

It would have been one title game had the Colts not given up the streak. Sheep.

If we're sheep for cutting the guys responsible for the two most successful years this club has had in decades some slack, what mindless, stupid creature does that make you?? I mean what a crazy idea, to think they might have some idea what they're doing.

Jesus H Christ. 5 games into the year and we get nonsense like this - can't really say it's "just a few fans" because I hear this all the time at work and on twitter

Newsflash! we lost to GOOD teams!

Besides that if you look at NE who do they really have at their skill positions?? Welker ill give you that, but branch is a nobody, green-ellis is also a nobody, they lucked out with 2 great TEs in the draft 2 years ago, but it all starts with 1 person TOM FUCKIN BRADY!!

PEYTON MANNING did it with BLAIR WHITE and JACOB THAMME.

A GREAT QB is the key to a GREAT offense. Unless you have Megatron who is redicoulous and makes Stafford look great when he throws into triple coverage.

I'd rather have Kerley in there anyway so Sanchez can develop with a young WR.

Um, it's a message board, there's news, opinion, rants, and all sorts of things on here. Always has been, always will be. When things are going well, there's very little to be concerned about, and there's less to talk about.

When a team that is supposed to be good is not playing up to expectations, that's when boards explode because you want to try to figure out why. There's much more to talk about early in the season when things are going badly.

Theres no chance coleman could have covered the Pats TE's like Strickland did. Strickland is 10x better than coleman when healthy.
