Jets never should've signed him to begin with.

Still annoyed with the WR moves in the offseason.

Is Kerley giving the offense a colonoscopy or something?

I hate the conditional draft picks. Most the time we don't know what it is until its draft time. Anyone know any details or we have to wait till April?

Texans acquired WR Derrick Mason from the Jets in exchange for a conditional draft choice.
The writing was on the wall for Mason in New York, who played just five snaps in Sunday's loss to the Patriots after making comments critical of the team's offense last week. Of course, those words probably wouldn't have mattered if he had done anything on the field this season. He hasn't, making just 13 catches for 115 yards. That puts him on pace for just 41.6 catches and 368 yards. Coming into 2011, he had posted at least 750 receiving yards every year since 2000. In Houston, he'll provide veteran insurance for a club expected to be without Andre Johnson for the next two weeks. Although he will be in a passing offense worlds ahead of New York's, it's hard to believe he'll be in for a big uptick in production. Source: John McClain on Twitter Oct 11 - 10:02 PM

I'm just surprised we managed to get a pick for him. I loved seeing Kerley get snaps the other night. This will reap future rewards, but we'll struggle for now...still.

i guess thats what happens when you just state the facts.

you get traded because your offensive coordinator is a little bitch who doesn't like it when people tell him that his precious screen passes and runs up the middle on 3rd and 67 don't work.

Yes. It could be one pick, or it could be another, or even another. Also, the picks are in different rounds.

There isn't anywhere to go but up for the #3WR spot now that Kerley has taken over.

I can imagine his production against the Pats is what put the final stamp on Mason's departure. If Kerley faltered in the role last Sunday, Mason probably would have been retained.

    oh well.

I'm really going to miss him falling down as soon as he gets the ball, if and when he catches the ball. Braylon Edwards is better than Mason right now and Edwards isn'teven scheduled to come off IR until 10/30.

Maybe Mason was mouthing off again.

Cotchery. Braylon is talented, but I could understand letting him go.

    But not Cotchery.

PIT not playing Cotch is telling to me.

I think his injuries have really affected him, and he's become a nobody on the Steelers.

    Its sad.

You don't "tank" for a player that's going to be drafted in the 20s.

Rex Ryan on Derrick Mason yesterday: "Derrickā€™s going to still be a part of what we do." Tonight, he's traded. #nyj
