Because they always have?..probably started when they were 10. No other reason to be still doing it now.
in college when me and friends had quite the operation we used to pick up 25 pound "bundles"....now thats a beautiful thing. It was one huge compressed cube probably 3 ft by 2ft. They wrapped it with about 4 inches of plastic and all kinds of other shit....dryer sheets...tyvec...thats the most ive seen. Disclaimer...my roommate got nailed 4 weeks before graduation with 15 pounds...kid had a 4.0, majored in physics, and a scholarship to get his Masters...instead he spent the next 4 years in jail....drugs are bad
Many of these guys are still tied into the ghetto areas they came from, where selling weed is a big part of the local economy. So they are making NFL money and have friends from the old hood who ask them to "invest" in a new business. It happens all the time, look at all the ex NFL guys caught with lbs of weed or drugs the last few years. For some of these guys, outside of football, it's all they know.
Total fucking waste of the courts time and of law enforcement man hours. This country needs to gow a set and decrimalize or legelize pot and stop wasting millions of dollars trying to stop something that has been smoked for centurys.
