    Ummmmmmmmm...

You talk about the OL playing bad as of late, which I do agree with you on. Then you acknowledge that the running game is non-existent. Agreed again.

    Then you blame, Greene?

    C'Mon MAN!

You already answered the question! I don't care who the RB is in our backfield, if our OL doesn't start getting a push in the trenches and creating some holes, our running game will continue to be non existent.

    C'MON!! MAYNE!!!!

Watching Hard Knocks you got to see Tannys Formula for a successful team. You Overpay for your core players and you surround them with Good to sub par back up's for rotation. You settle for your second choice in the corner back department and overpay him too. You take your most promising future player's and you let them get picked up by other teams because you don't want to pay them their fair share .
I love Tanenbaum don't get me wrong , but It was his lack of foresight that put us here. Here's the good news. Even with our deficiencies we can still put the right blocking schemes in to get the running game going and once we get that established Sanchez will go back to having success in the passing game. Just the scrutiny toward Mr. tanenbaum will cause him to re-think this thing come next off season .

A genius doesn't whiff on the fact that Folk has been money all season.

You got the OL depth right.

Greene is not a all purpose back, he needs the OL to open holes. He's also not Barry Sanders, who is needed to get big runs with a line like this. So you went 1 for 3. Good job.

The problem with this team is depth. We have none.

His forumula is go big in the draft with low picks, fill the rest through FA, and go cheap on developmental players.

Enough with the overpay. No one knows what that means anymore on this board. Mangold and Brick are not overpaid.

Who are the future promising young players? Woodhead, Smith, and Leon? Then you went 0 for 3, because they're all scheme specific role players or special team stars. None of them were irreplaceable. Get over it.

Its not about the blocking scheme, its about the fact that the Jets used a 4th center this year in Slauson. That's an issue. The fact that only Mangold knows the calls on offense. Why in the fuck doesn't the rest of the line know the calls? That's on the OL and Callahan for having only Mangold know them. Everyone should know what's going on in some capacity.

Tanny hasn't caught fire yet. Its tough to do when your team and coach go to the AFCCG back to back. What he does need for the future, is a 10 pick draft once more.

Maybe you trust in Mike, but I don't.

I disagree with your point about the RBs. The Jets drafted McKnight last year and Powell this year and have LT. They have better depth at RB than most other teams in the NFL.

I definitely agree with you regarding the OL depth. Not signing a vet like Gurode or McKinney, and allowing Baltimore to sign both of them was really stupid. I think the team is weaker this year than last. Most of their leadership is gone. Too much time was wasted on Nnamdi. They could have signed Joseph cheaper and not had to deal with Cro or the overrated Nnamdi, and still had money to sign other FAs, or could have addressed the OL depth with Hunter and Ducasse the only RT prospects.

Folk has been solid. Rackers is a lot more shaky than Folk.

While I don't disagree, Turner knows the line calls too.

If I am correct, and my recall may be off, I think Garode was picked up before Turner went down.

    Who knew....

Here's a theory - and it may be complete garbage. They are under the salary cap to save money for next season, when they will have a new offensive coordinator. Then the new OC will be able to get some of the players he wants.

I have no problem believing that whatsoever, and have seen that stated on several different Jets boards, but have yet to ever see a direct quote or any concrete proof. Is there proof where Mangini acknowledges this, or is it only Tanny's or whomever's word that it was Mangini's decision?

Being under this year's cap doesn't save any money for next year.

It does actually due to the cba agreement, Its basically a 2 year cap.

Tanny is saving that for a reason
