-Rex using a timeout to argue with the referee was completely wrong and let his ego get the best of him. -Ducasse should not have been drafted in the 2nd round, and made things worse for himself/the team when he came in after Slauson was moved to C in place of Baxter.
I don't understand how these analysts on SNY can blame this game on Sanchez? Yes he didn't play well, but he had absolutely no time to pass.
I liked using the timeout to yell at the officials. it was horseshit, and based on the others call made...i'd be shocked if they don't send a tape or if rex doesn't make note of it in a press conference/post game. Although, rex has never ripped the officials directly in a press conference. even in the worst case of blatant bias/missed calls in the past he's always either done it in the heat of the moment or behind closed doors
I agree with you 100%, Rex is a hype man, his entire philosophy is based upon having his players backs, maybe Tony Dungy wouldn't have done that but Rex is Rex, and at least he's true to his word.
Actually it pretty much does, other than Ray Lucas insisting that it's all Sanchez's fault. Rex claimed in his press conference that he did it because he was trying to find out exactly what the call was. Either way, the idea that that was even slightly important was IMO moronic.
Well they are right that Vlad Ducasse sucks. That is indisputable. I defended him, but it's looking more and more like a waste of a pick. The line absolutely sucks ass right now and he still doesn't deserve to get any playing time.
1) There wasn't too much time left in the first half. If the Jets had one more timeout before halftime ended, they weren't going to call it. Actually, after Rex's rant, they managed to close the gap to 10 points. 2) Ducasse pick isn't looking so good. Can't argue that one.
I had no problem whatsoever with Rex calling a timeout to blast the refs. Not sure if he noticed the Jets D only allowed a whopping 13 points, and they were on the field for 37 minutes.
My problem with the defense is they allowed 10 of those 13 points on drives right after we tied the score. They allowed Baltimore to take the momentum right back. The defense didn't lose the game, but certainly didn't step up at a critical time in the first half.
Just heard that Derrick Mason went off in the locker room... can't wait to hear this. Maybe we've found a freaking leader because you know it's not Holmes or Sanchez.
The Defense didn't do anything in the first half EXCEPT score a TD. This defense got two more turnovers in the second half. This defense really did all it could do to give this team a chance. The offense allowed 3 TDs directly off turnovers. The offense was shutout in the second half. The last two weeks this offense has scored 7 points in the second half.
1. It was a first-half time out and the Jets came out more hype about the game than they were from kickoff. 2. Ducasse should not be playing guard. Ever.
