You make valid points, but its way too early to start looking at tiebreakers. This is a conference game, which still matters in the standings at the end of the season. Right now its about accumulating wins and building confidence. If we lose this game we'll have a 2 game losing streak going to NE, where you know Belichick and company are dying to beat us after last years game. At least if we're 3-1, a loss isn't killer. You lose this game, then next weeks game becomes a must must win, and if you lose that one, then things could start spiraling out of control.
No... that's not how anyone should coach their team in Week 4. If Mangold is 100%, he should play. If not, he shouldn't.
True but if Mangold can play effectively and without risk of furthering his injury then he should play.
Mangold's not going to be 100% until the bye most likely. High ankle sprains are nasty. He'll be back long before then but it's still going to hurt when he has to put his weight plus a defensive tackle's momentum on that leg.
Per Cimini Mangold looks great doing workouts in front of doctors and Callahan. He probably means it homosexually.
I do not see how we are scoring 10 points on offense tonight. I can't see us running or protecting Sanchez w/o Mangold. ST needs to do something HUGE!
