Screens on 3rd and 13+ that dont pick up the 1st..........I thought thats called garbage yardage or give up plays?
I'm happy for your guys right now, Fitz being in his 7th year is finally looking good and, yeah that's some good stuff. You did beat the worst team in football in week 1, was impressive though. The Chiefs are dreadful. Oakland's defense has been terrible so far and Denver's pass D held them to under 100 yards passing. Against the Bills the Raiders put up over 300 yards passing and over 100 yards rushing. The following week Denver's pass D allowed over 300 yards and 2 TDs to Dalton, yes Dalton. I'm looking forward to when you play a legit team. Patriots pass D is second to last in the league right now so I don't expect much of a defensive challenge but I am curious to see how you think you can stop Brady when you can't even stop Campbell. I hope you can pickup what I'm putting down here. It's great that you're 2-0 but last year when you started 0-8 you had a much tougher schedule. Miami, GB, NE, Jets, Jags, for your first 5 is much easier then Chiefs and Raiders.
I understand what your saying completely. Also to note the Raiders didn't have "their top 3" WR'S. For that reason and Mcfadden, we didn't blitz. We didn't blitz at all week 1. The only time we blitzed against the Raiders was on the last play with the hail mary, they finally unleashed Merriman after the QB. Clearly our gameplan week 1 and 2 was to stop some of the best rushers in the league and we did that. So yeah it may seem we couldn't stop Campbell, but almost any QB can put up some numbers when they dont have rushing LB'S coming at them. That and Mckelvin played one of the worst games i have seen a CB in a looooong time. I would like to see a little more pressure off our 3 and 4 man D-line fronts though. So basically I'm glad we play the Pats this early, Bellycheck literally has nothing to view on our Defense because we havn't showed anything. My main concern is that I hope Gailey is stressing the importance of staying alert and being quick on substituions during the game. Thats one thing the Pats and Brady will do. They will run the no huddle, snap the ball quickly to try to get 12 men on the field or pick on a DB who seemed to have been banged up on the previous play. No turnovers and we win this game, it's that simple. Fitz is having a hot streak but I would like to run early and run often in this game. Jackson and Spiller have been dominant so far, Gailey has done a nice job of splitting up their carries at the right moments.
Wow, I'm shocked that you really believe you'll beat the Pats. The Chargers D is by far better then your D, Rivers is by far better then Fitz, and the Chargers offense is as a whole is better. It's good to have confidence, and you can be damn sure I'll be rooting for the Bills but I just don't see it. I would temper some expectations until you face a complete team. In 2008 Bills fans were going nuts, started 4-0 beating all crap teams, beat 2 of them quite handily, and finished 7-9. The Bills are headed in the right direction for sure but I'm nowhere near convinced they're a playoff contender. You do have the Bengals, Titans, and Broncos left on your schedule(Skins too), so that's a plus. Also throw in Miami I can see you going 8-8, 9-7 if you manage to pull of an upset. Which is a great turnaround from 4-12.
Madbacker....the Bills always play the Pats tuff, just like the Bills always play the Jets tuff. I think if Fitz plays like he has been they have a real chance at beating them fags.
You lost all of your credibility when you said Andre Johnson was better than Scotty McKnight. Foolish.
ok your clearly lost. Stevie Johnson is a great receiver and Ryan Fitzpatrick is better then half bad, hes good.
lol I remember at one point in this thread a poster or 2 saying the Bills have the worst WR'S in the league. I think we have put that myth to rest. Either that or Fitz is just that damn good lol. Stevie J has proven to be a true #1 and is about to get a contract extension. David Nelson is emerging as a solid #2. Roscoe Parrish will likely be out for the season though. I would like to see us sign Donnie Avery, we are starting to get thin at bodies at WR!
The Bills just called up Namaan Roosevelt. I'd like to see more of what he can do. Getting rid of Lee Evans so far is paying dividends in seeing what young talent the Bills have at WR.
good for Namaan the local kid. I knew it was gonna be a good move getting rid of Evans and Posluzney two guys who have been severely overrated for years. Evans can only run straight down the field and can't be counted on to make the clutch catch and Poz is one of the Worst Coverage LBs Ive seen but is great at picking up cheap tackles down the field. (i Suppose someone had to make the tackle though) As for your "young talent" at WR, I will say that its mostly Fitzpatrick who I think has always been a decent QB just is really flourishing in his 1st opportunity to be THE QB in Gailey's wide open offense. Stevie Johnson, although very weird, seems to be quite talented though.. Ill give you that.
