Oh man, my bench is such hot garbage. The biggest problem is that I was distracted from Rd 9 on. Since both of my picks were at the turn, I lined up my list and then would just be sure to come back before my pick. Each time, Mack took the guy I was primarily targeting. This is the problem with playing with Mack. He's great at drafting.

Rd 9/10 turn, I was hoping for Jimmy Graham. Mack took him 4 spots earlier in the 9th.

Rd 11/12 turn, wanted Mike Sims-Walker and Willis McGahee. MSW went 6 spots before me, Mack took McGahee.

Rd 13/14 turn, wanted either Jared Cook or the Lions D. Mack took Cook. Lions D went the next pick.

So, I ended up just quickly grabbing guys who could become useful, only to realize that I ended up with a shitload of handcuffs...and only one was mine. I'll end up making a lot of moves, like I always do. I'll hang on to Murray and Carter for sure, and likely Helu. They could be valuable late. I love my WRs, though. If Collie can stay healthy, I'm probably running a 2 RB system anyway. Even if he can't, I think Moore has a good chance to be the leading receiver in NO this year.

I like the roster. Greene seems like he went pretty high, though. I really, really hope that move pays off. You very well could have 2 Top 10 receivers by the end of the season and a 3rd just outside. Very competitive roster.

OK....had my draft in a 12 team league. Kept J Charles as my keeper for a 9th round pick
Chris Johnson fell to me with the 8th pick, was amazed by that.

    QB's: Bradford and Orton
RB's: Charles, C Johnson, Daniel Thomas, Marion Barber, Jonathon stewart
WR's: Calvin Johnson, Desean Jackson, Wes welker, Percy Harvin, eric Decker
    TE's: Tony Gonzalez, Moeaki
    K: Feely
    D Chargers

We play a flex at WR/TE.

I feel solid but that could be the cheese in my colon. Thoughts??

Nice team. Great starters and upside on the bench. Eric Decker is the only question mark, but if you see upside there, then go ahead. Likely your last pick anyway.

Had my third draft last night, 10 man money league, I had 7th pick. I went into a different strategy in this draft, not relying on elite qbs and solidifying my WRs and RB spots. Though I had 7th pick, I traded my 1st and 3rd for the 1st overall and a 2nd 15th round pick. Here's my turnout.

    QB: Matt Stafford, Kyle Orton
RB: Arian Foster, Felix Jones, BenJarvus Green-Ellis
WR: Roddy White, Dwayne Bowe, Austin Collie, Plaxico Burress, Mike Sims-Walker, Jordy Nelson
    TE: Mercedes Lewis, Jermaine Gresham
    K: Nate Kaeding
    DEF: Detroit

    Draft order
    1. Arian Foster
    2. Roddy White
    3.(4) Dwayne Bowe
    4. Felix Jones
    5. Matt Stafford
    6. Austin Collie
    7. Mercedes Lewis
    8. BenJarvus Green-Ellis
    9. Mike Sims-Walker
    10. Plaice Burress
    11. Lions def
    12. Kyle Orton
    13. Jermaine Gresham
    14. Nate Kaeding
    15. Jordy Nelson

Obv I did sacrifice at TE and I'm heavily relying on Stafford to have a good year and stay healthy

You need an Arian Foster handcuff.

I was thinking about that this morning. Unfortunately I can't so a waiver pick in this league til Tuesday. Texans fans are going for Ben Tate but I was also advised Derrick Ward.

    10 team draft - 15 rounds:

    ( 2nd overall pick)

    1) Andre Johnson WR
    2) Hakeem Nicks WR
    3) Rashad Mendenhall RB
    4) Dallas Clark TE
    5) Beanie Wells RB
    6) Ben Rothlisberger QB
    7) Sidney Rice WR
    8) Lee Evans WR
    9) Sam Bradford QB
    10) James Starks RB
    11) Julio Jones WR (Rookie)
    12) Brandon Jacobs RB - steal IMO
    13) Dustin Keller TE
    14) Jay Feeley K
    15) New Orleans D....not many good defenses remaining and the Jets were off the board in round 7. Will probably cut before the season and go week to week depending on the opponent..

    Good draft? Opinions?

James Starks is not a rookie. Been in the league for 2 years, received his first game action last year, and played in the Super Bowl. Do you live under a rock?

Sidney Rice and Lee Evans are terrible value in the 7th and 8th round. Jacobs, Mendenhall, and Bradford are good picks, but what was the reasoning behind taking Andre Johnson 2nd overall?

I was surprised by that also. You could've easily picked up an elite RB and still come away with a great WR corps at the expense of Andre Johnson

Could you imagine AP/Arian Foster and Mendenhall as your RBs? That'd be disgusting

That's a typo....I meant the rookie for Jones....didn't realize I typed it twice. This is my third year in my league and I've won both previous times ( my playmates hate me :)) with different approaches... my first year I took AP in the first round and pretty much drafted an OK team around him like Rothesberger, Vernon Davis, Holmes etc. but really built well through the waiver wire with guys like Sidney Rice who was a rookie, and Donald Driver. But my RBS are what won it for me in '09 between AP, Addai with his goaline TDs (and some great numbers by Rothlesberger). Last year I took Rogers with my first pick, stole Roddy White in the third round but got guys like Mike Williams and Manningham off the waiver wire which made my WR core almost unstoppable. This year I was torn between Rodgers, AP, and Johnson. AP will put up good numbers but I think he may get more dinged up than usual behind that OL in Minnesota. I figured I could get Brees in the third round and missed by one selection. I think Johnson has at least one more solid fantasy year. I just like stacking up on WRs and envisioned Brees throwing to Johnson, Nicks, and Clark. The TEs were dissapearing faster this year and I think Clark is going to have a nice comeback season. Now I have two pretty solid QBs with the above mentioned three targets plus Mendanhall. I disagree with Rice, I think he's going to have a comeback year and I expect big things from Wells....you may be right about Evans. Overall, I dont expect too much action through the waiver wire barring injuries as with the last two years I was very active with the free agents...

By the way the guy who selected Brees right before my pick also took Rodgers with his first pick. It's a one QB league.....that's alot of points on the bench every week. He's going to ask alot in a trade...maybe too much.

Auction draft, 6 pts per TD all positions.

    QB: Rodgers
    RB: Peterson
    RB: Spiller
    WR: Bowe
    WR: Lloyd
    W/R: Britt
    TE: Gates
    Q/W/R/T: Cutler

    BENCH
    WR Evans
    WR Moore
    RB M Bush
    RB J Harrison
    RB Sproles
    RB Ward
    QB Newton

Don't love my team, but if I get a 2nd RB whom I trust (don't have any faith in anyone I have to start week 1), then I'm still going to freak every week. Peterson and Rodgers on one team is always a plus.

12 team league, I had 8th pick. Standard scoring, no ppr (unfortunately, I'm loaded at WR)

    QB - Rivers
    WR - Andre Johnson
    WR - Larry Fitzgerald
    WR - Vincent Jackson
    RB - Jahvid Best
    RB - Mike Tolbert
    TE - Jared Cook
    W/R - Malcolm Floyd
    DEF - Dallas

    BENCH:
    LT
    AJ Green
    Delone Carter
    Green-Ellis
    Sproles
    Cutler
    Moeaki

Definitely worried about my lack of depth at RB, but the way the board fell I just didn't see early value at the position. Gonna need to hope some of my 2nd/3rd tier RBs catch fire, and be active on the waiver wire.

Think I could potentially have the top 3 scoring WRs in the league this year... maybe the top scoring QB too. Should be an interesting year.

I've done so many drafts in the past few days. All leagues done finally.
This is probably my favorite outcome, and thankfully it's for my most important league.

12 team, 0.5 PPR, 6 points all touchdowns, drafted at the 10th spot.

    QB - Ben Roethlisberger
    WR - Andre Johnson
    WR - Jeremy Maclin
    RB - Ray Rice
    RB - Frank Gore
    TE - Antonio Gates
    W/R/T - Beanie Wells
    K - Mason Crosby
    DEF - Miami

    BENCH:
    WR - Santana Moss
    WR - Davone Bess
    WR - Lance Moore
    RB - Ricky Williams
    RB - Ryan Grant
    QB - Ryan Fitzpatrick

There was an insane run on QBs in the first two rounds, letting me grab Rice in the first, and Andre Johnson in the second. Stoked.

    Jetskees:

With those WRs I wouldn't be too worried about the RBs...wow! How did those three last long enough...the cards fell just right for you. My advice is to pay extra attention to Week 1 particulary the rookies who jump out of nowhere (there's always one every year) and jump on it before anybody else does.... although Best is a pretty decent player. You may want to take a flyer on TE Boss out in Oakland. He may be a decent back up TE option....

There's a good chance your RB's are gonna make you suck this year.
