I believe I can speak for many Jet fans when I say that I stopped listening to WFAN or should I say Mike Francessa not the whole station sometime last year. I understand that he has to do his thing and many times it is to get ratings with that said his agenda always seemed more than just sports related when it came to your organization, as he has been very biased for some time now. His routine got old, at least it did for me and I just stopped listening to HIS show but I continued to listen to other WFAN shows as I enjoy their objectivity and coverage. I was told that you guys actually "reached out " to WFAN or should I say Francessa and asked him to come do his show Thursday out at camp . My question is WHY? I honestly cannot understand why you would "reach out " to him or ask him to do this as I am sure it will be great for his ratings but what on earth will you guys/ The Jets get out of this? I think it was a mistake if you guys did actually "reach out " to WFAN and I must admit after all he has said about Woody, and Tanny and more often than not Rex I am beyond shocked that this is going to happen Thursday and I think I can again speak for many fans when I say we would rather him show up on Thursday and you allow other WFAN hosts to do their shows live but tell Mr Francessa that he is not welcome! Fatcesa will not talk to Rex, Tanny and Sanchez like he does every on the radio other day of the week. He will play it straight as will the Jets, its not gonna be anything special other then having someone like Mike who knows football ( see Kay) give good interviews. He's a pussy face to face. My only hope is Tanny or Rex call him out and make him squirm a little.

he always brings this up in every argument against the jets success under rex. it's infuriating. it's almost like the AFC championship games are wiped out because of it. the pats have won the division title the last 2 years. what has that got them? zero playoff victories. the jets have 4 playoff wins in the last 2 years. who has had the better 2 years? the jets. if the jets go 13-3 this year, win the division, and lose in the 2nd round after the bye, is that a more successful season then 11-5 and two road playoff wins. nope. give me the 11-5 season with 2 playoff wins every time.
I can't imagine Rex biting his tongue while talking to Francessa. Its not even like hes laying off the team until after he visits.
God I wish I could supply list of Fatty quotes from last season to every Jet the morning he shows up in FP so everyone would know the way he ripped Rex, Tanny, Woody, hell everybody on the roster practically. The guy is such a fucking asshole.
The division title thing is just something he can point to and say 'Ovah da couwse of 16 games da Pats are da bettah team" . Ask the Packers last year if they would have rather won the NFC North or the Super Bowl? Then ask Tom Brady if he would have rather won teh AFC East or beaten the Jets in the playoffs. I think everybody knows the answers to those two questions. If the Yankees win the wildcard and "Da Sawx" win the AL East but the Yankees lose in the ALCS but the Red Sox lose in teh ALDS do you think he'd accept the same reasoning?

Once upon a time, I thought Mike Francesa was 'radio-heroic': his work on the day of Sept, 11 showed his (great) true potential. A guy who served for many as a somber, thought-provoking "big brother" to many (including Mad Dog); totally unhinged New Yorkers who were in need of tuning into a "safe harbor" ...in this case, their favorite radio station so as to grasp onto a 'familiar voice', a life-line of calm, reflective perspective...and imho Mike Francesa more than earned his keep that day. And THAT is why I for one am so put off with his turning against a major segment of New York football fans, and into some Pete Franklin-type troll for the sole purpose of (disengenuously) amping his ratings by .... well, you Jet fans all know what that 180-degree spin of his is all about. .... once "tuna" left town ... he's not about New York. He's about him.
he didn't let up much today. if I'm the Jets organization and I heard Francesa today, I would've immediately canceled his visit on Thursday. it's almost like he made an effort to establish that he hates the jets. then on thursday he's gonna suck up to everyone. you know what fatty, just stay in your studio. no need to put on a fake act for a day. if he wants any jet fans respect he better not take it easy on them. be the jet hater and know it all that you are on radio. don't soften up. cuz we all know what's probably gonna happen. he'll probably be really soft and act all nice towards the jets. then as soon as he gets on the air the next time he'll continue to unfairly blast them. he better tell Mike T to his face that he acted on hard knocks last year and that wasn't the real Mike T.

Yeah but the Mets stink and the Yanks have been great, the Jets(outside of 2007) have been every bit as good as the Giants(if not better) the last 20 years.
God, I hate when people compare the Jets to the Mets. The only thing they have in common in 3 letters. The Mets have earned everything they get. And Fat boy roots for the Mets at the beginning of the season because its good for WFAN.
