Sure, Im open to suggestions given this is my first time to the stadium. I'm all for getting a group of us goons for a row of seats. The more the merrier.... What section were you looking at and how much do these seats run for? Oh yea, whats your AIM too?
Here's the link to the tickets. http://www.stubhub.com/new-york-jets-tickets/jets-vs-patriots-new-meadowlands-stadium-1068395/?ticket_id=291593660 And, I have yours from old chats so I'll just IM you now.
I had this thought cross my mind this morning and I'm gonna run with it. Maybe you guys could give me some insight as to how to do it or even join in. I'm not exactly in a great financial situation although when the memorial is up I will donate some money to help his family in this time of need. But here is my idea. It's simple and maybe it's good for something or maybe it isn't. I am going to write a letter to the Jets and to Nick Mangold personally. Now they did something before a game to honor Green Guy as many of you may remember. I'm honestly not expecting them to make some sort of financial donation but maybe if enough of us write to them and express how much he meant to a lot of us and now there are 3 young children running around without a father they will do the same sort of pregame memorial for PH as they did for GG. Imagine if his children actually got to go on the field and meet some players or even get a ball. I was thinking Sanchez but in every pic of PH he had his Mangold jersey on so I think he'd be fitting. In the letter I'm going to include that a large group of people are having a "memorial tailgate" in his honor on November 13th. I would never ask somebody to post his last name on here but if one of you guys could PM me with it that's be great. Thanks
I am coming over with Mr Maynard as we had to cancel the planned trip to chargers game. Hope its okay for us both to join you all at this both to show our respects and meet some of you strange people in the flesh We have gone with tickets in mezzanine but will happily roll up at a tailgate with some bourbon and my beloved Brooklyn!
i really really want to do this. but 1 thing is stopping me as of now . no way to get down there its one heck of a walk i would imagine from maine to new jersey. i dont do buses i didt it once for a jets game in 07 never will happen again. if i can make it down there i will. then burn my ellis jersey for ph.
I'm interested in coming and meeting some of you retards. Who needs a PM from me for credit card info or whatever to get in on this. I have a truck but no season tickets anymore. If you are tailgating in IZOD then I can meet you there or join up outside on the highway somewhere. I can pick up a tent or whatever we need to make the day/night more pleasant. I even have a big fucking generator if you want to put up with the noise. I live a few minutes from the stadium so if anyone needs hotel info I can def give you the skinny on the local places and where to avoid. Let me know. Thanks.
I'm without a doubt coming to this, I'm so pissed I couldn't break away from my other tailgate last year. I will forever regret that. What sucks is that our main office is moving locations that weekend, but I will work my ass off so I can be at the tailgate in plenty of time for the occasion.
I think Theo is getting the tickets. The rest of us will just send the money via Paypal ahead of time. We have a section we're looking to buy in with 12 tickets in a block. As far as I know, we have plenty of space right now.
Have you checked Amtrak? I don't know if they service Maine or not but you can go to Penn Station in NYC or even into Newark, NJ and it's about a 15 minute subway ride from there. I just checked, you can go from Portland. ME to Newark roundtrip for 132.00 if you leave one Saturday morning and then head home at 1:30 AM on Monday.
I decided to look up prices for shits and gigs. Toronto - JFK Round trip - $377 on AA oy vei. next year though... EDIT check that, $399 plus tax for 2 direct 1hr30m flights
Count me in to the tailgate. How about having a vinyl banner printed to hang from the tent, "1st Annual TGG Pats-Hater Memorial Tailgate" I would gladly design it and I have a buddy in the sign business who could have it printed. This way, newcomers like me could find there way to the proper tailgate, especially if he/she is already a few beers in before they decide to stumble on over
