Now Sapp is done with the Eagles, without ever having played a down for the team. Sapp was released by the Eagles today, one day after being placed on the reserve/left squad list. Last year Sapp also reportedly left the team, and although he did return, he suffered a season-ending knee injury in August and spent the entire year on injured reserve. Now he has left the team again, and the Eagles aren’t willing to pay him another year’s salary. It’s not clear what’s going on with Sapp. Asked by a fan on Twitter if he was alright, Sapp wrote this afternoon, “I’m fine thanks for asking.” Sapp told another fan, “I would never ever give up.” But he has given up on the Eagles two years in a row. And now he’s gone.
Ricky Sapp will be lucky if he sticks in f---in footbal for chrissakes! He was disregarded in the NFL draft. He was released by the Philadelphia Eagles. Some team is going to have to see that Ricky Sapp can sit on his f---in ass for 3 quarters and has the ability to get in there and get a sack in the f----in fourth quarter. -Earl Weaver on Ricky Sapp
Hey come on he wouldn't be a horrible pickup. If there's anyone who can get something out of this guy it's Rex.
I disagree. There's something wrong that no one knows about. I remember hoping we'd draft this kid too. Smh.
I could see one of San Francisco's starters being cut, depending on how camp goes for Aldon Smith. Aldon Smith and Antwan Applewhite were brought in for a reason. -X-
Chinedum Ndukwe (S) 6'2" 224 Played 4 seasons for Cincinnati. Good tackler. Notre Dame. Couldnt be wrong to take a flier on him - considering our current Safety group. Put more weight in the box vs the run.
I dunno, I like Ndukwe--he's a big hitter, a playmaker, and could be a very good depth player for the Jets. I assume that he'll find someone to give him more money and playing time than we would though.
