very pleased to see he has signed with us - a smart experienced vet which is key given the short off season and a new team

I'm certainly not suggesting that Plax and DMase are Tim Brown and Jerry Rice, but the latter had a couple of phenomenal seasons in Oakland when they joined up, and they were 35 and 39 when the experiment started. They also didn't have Santonio as the #1. Both of them outperformed their prior seasons. As far as Mason coming off a down year, his team added a pretty significant weapon last season in Anquan Boldin, and he STILL managed to put up almost identical numbers to Boldin. He's fine. He's not here to lead the offense. Ray Rice's receptions dropped with the addition of Boldin. He must be getting too old too.
If Brady gets injured the Pats are screwed If Manning doesn't recover from neck injury the Colts are screwed If Brees gets hit by a bus... If I light myself on fire... Worrying is silly.
Not gonna lie. After floyd turned the ravens down..kinda hurt that mase didn't wanna come back. I wish him the best though, he was a great raven. I'd like to know a jets fans scouting report on cotchery though. I don't know much about him and he is now a possibility for the ravens.
I saw an interview recently...he shaved it! I was like WTF! lol Good for him. That shit looked like a bat wing on his face! I like us getting Mason. He is an upgrade over Cotchery even though I'll miss Jericho.PPL remember Cotchery for his catch when he pulled his groin.Mason played an entire game with a separated shoulder and was making tough catches in traffic. The biggest question mark is going to be Plax.Part of me was hoping we'd make a move for a receiver and push Plax to the #3 spot butt hey...he'd better get in tune with Mark quick. One thing is for sure.Mark isn't the best qb by far but he's always gone out his way to build a rapport with receivers. If they're not on the same page,it will most likely be because of a lack of effort on Burress' part.
Good, low cost option who can play wherever he's needed this season and next. With the turnover we've seen and will see in the receiver corps, a 2 year contract was a very wise move if the numbers are right.
Great signing to pair Mason with Plax. Cotch didn't want to be here and Braylon is surely looking at a suspension, so we needed to make changes and I'm thankful that Tanny and Rex were able to convince two proven veterans to sign with us. Shit, when have the Jets EVER gotten a FA to sign at a DISCOUNT to play for them? I worry about Plax's ability to stay healthy and both he and Mason's ability to pick up the playbook in such a tight time frame, but all things considered, I think these moves were solid. Drafting a developing a stud WR a now a huge priority in future drafts.
Cotch is coming back from a pretty serious injury. If he can pass a team's physical, then it should be okay though. He won't beat anybody deep and he won't solve the Ravens' receiver issues, but he'll be a reliable target for Flacco. He's a hard-working, high character. Your team will be lucky to have him.
