Good points...not to mention he'd probably play with a hhis huge chip on his shoulder given the way SF shopped him around.I mean seriously,a mass email to every NFL team? Lol that's so disrespectful. They spammed him like he was an ED pill or an online college lol I think it couldn't hurt to use a 7th round pick. It's not like your likely to get a superstar anyway.

That they want to much for him probably. I'd rather see if released but 5th or less I'd take a chance. Its not like that low of a pick will set us back at all.

It's not worth a 5th round for this douche. We picked Kerley in the 5th round this year and he looks (so far) to be our punt/kick returner. I'm not sure Mays would even be that useful on the Jets.

Remember when people wanted the Jets to pick this asshole in the first round?

If He was a FA, i wouldn't mind so much, but you have a better chance of finding a gem in the 5-7 rounds then this guy doing anything remotely useful.

SF is trying to get rid of him and I don't think they have that good of a backfield to begin with

Getting him for a 5th round pick would be cheaper in the long run. 49ers already paid his bonuses and garrauteed money and he is due little. If he makes it to the waiver wire we won't win him and if he made it to FA he would get a new contract which would be more than all that is left on is current one.

A 5th round pick usually never pans out as a good NFL player, yes there have been some but less than 10% ever become a starter ot long time player. Worth a 5th rounder to kick his tires.

We'll have to agree to disagree here. Taylor Mays is a douche, and probably will never be a good player because A) His tackling technique sucks ass and B) He can't cover. That's not exactly a good combination. Any pick wasted on him is worthless.

Also, Your avatar is creepy as fuck

If you're going to "kick his tires," then wait until he's released.

If Taylor Mays was any good, then the 49ers wouldn't be aggressively shopping him. He's been with them for one year and they've already given up on him?

    I'll pass.

Lets get back to the central point. Mays would be a marketing coup and then some. The Jets would instantly be the favorite team of Black Jews everywhere. Think of the marketing possibilities to this often overlooked minority.........

As a Black Jew myself this would be spectacular.
