Certainly makes things a little more interesting.. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/3086/malcom-floyd
Can you imagine how he feels, he was cut and still will likely be a Raven. We were perfectly willing to keep Cotch and were planning on doing so but his role wasn't large enough. The more I think about the angrier I am getting at Cotch.
Where are Baltimore on cap space? Might they be interested in Cotchery given he's ten years younger than Mason?
Let your boss ask you to take a pay cut after you tore your nutsack for the company and see how you like it.
not really. It more like let the two new co-workers take the lead on a project that you've been a part of for almost a decade. You want to be a project leader, or co-leader again. The only option is to find another company.
I really hope this blows up in the Jet's faces. There was no good reason to do this, and they need to learn a lesson about taking care of your own men. No matter who they line up at #3, I'm sure there will be very little differnce between him and a 37 year old Mason. It's like the 5th starter in MLB.
There was a good reason to do this. The Jets gave Cotch their word that he'd be traded or released this offseason. Cotch wanted this. Let's hope that Cotch has a good season this year, wherever he goes.
It's more like last year they let the two new co-workers take the lead on a project that you've been a part of for almost a decade. You bust your ass anyway, and come to work hurt. At one point you tore your nutsack. One of the two new coworkers quit, so you think you're getting your old position back, but instead you are asked to take a paycut and back up a felon who was just hired fresh out of jail and hasn't worked in two years.
If two IT geniuses came in I would be thankful for what was paid and pray to god that they kept me on at all. I'm more angry with the position it left the Jets in. Cotch was never a number 1, for a brief period a solid 2, but now he's a 3 at best on most teams anyway.
Are you sure that's the case ... or did he only want it after he heard his name being dangled out there and Mason being brought in? A serious question.
Funny, because Cotch wanted out in February. So its more like he wanted out of this company before the one co-worker quit and in saying so the company actively looked for a replacement for the quitting co-worker while trying to get a package deal in return for Cotch from another company. They couldn't get a package deal, so they did the right thing by releasing him. At least he gets a nice severance package.
He wanted out in February. http://www.thejetsblog.com/2011/08/05/buzz-cotchery-asked-for-trade-in-february/
Cotch made 16 million the last 4 years. Hard to feel he was bitched by the Jets for wanting more production out of their No. 2 and signing Plax and wanting to spend less on their No. 3. The Jets did right by Cotch and the fact is we don't know if he can even pass a physical. If we don't get Mason we don't get him we aren't done yet.
How could you be angry with the guy?? They told him to take a pay cut and he said screw you. To these guys it's just a job like yours or mine. Most of us would do the same thing.
