Why make a trade? Our top two receivers are already on our roster: Holmes and Burress are penciled into the starting lineup. Jeremy Kerley is being groomed to play the slot. With Tom Moore's input, I'm sure Dustin Keller will be used a lot like Dallas Clark is used in Indy. He'll play in the slot a lot too. If Derrick Mason signs, our receiving corps will be pretty damn good for the 2011 season.
let somebody else determine that! what's you thoughts though about mason? a couple more wideouts were scooped up today so slim pickings left. i really hope we lock him up & ellis for that matter.
All they've done is rave about this guy Moore. Hope he makes a difference and makes Keller into the next Clark.
We show no loyalty to our vets? AYFKM? Ferguson, Mangold, Revis, and Harris - the Core Four - are locked up. These are players that you can build around make the cash. These are players not even in their prime...players that are great already. This team is going in the right direction. You can't keep bringing back old players, because they get slower and weaker in a league that's all about speed and strength. I understand how fans of this team can get attached to certain players that have been here for a long time, but in order to stay at the top, you have to make moves to get younger. Tannenbaum and Ryan are building this team for the long haul. It's going to be a playoff contender for quite some time because of the moves they've made. If you don't agree with this, then you clearly don't understand football.
First off,,, this troll stuff,,, whatever that is,,, is foolish. But that being said, i'm really not trying to incite anyone.
Not to mention it has been stated that he asked to be traded or released, which if true debunks this no loyalty bullshit the SOJF's spew, running around with their hair on fire...........
My question is why couldn't they offer Ellis like 1.5 mill for a year. I fully understand football and what you are saying, but their is something to be said for showing some of these career Jets a little respect. The guy played well last season, isn't too much to ask to offer him that. If he didn't excel in the playoffs, i'd be with ya on this.
The way some people of these people post you'd think they just started watching football. I was upset the day we cut Marty Lyons. Do you know how long ago that was? That was the last time I got really upset about us cutting a vet.
Get out of here with that. If you don't think his salary was getting cut, I have a bridge to sell ya. That's so obvious, it's not even debatable.
1.5 million for a guy that had one good game out of 19 last season? Why because of loyalty? You don't win with loyalty. You win by playing and paying the best players you can. Ellis is not one of them.
...because he isn't worth that much - especially when we already have players on the roster that are better than he is. Get it through your head.
Mason is waiting to see what the Ravens are going to do. He was texting Harbaugh throughout the day. Mason really wants to return to Baltimore and until that possibility is completely dead he is not signing with another team. Mason's future right now rides on weather the Ravens get Floyd. If the Ravens get Floyd then there is no return for Mason.
I was just saying that if Mason doesnt sign then we are looking thin at WR - especially as there has to be at least a reasonable chance Plaxico won't last the season.
