I hope Mason still has another good season left in the tank...

Why not keep the receivers we have, and spend that money on our defense

@JennyVrentas: Confirmed the Jets are interested in Mason. Could mean that Jerricho Cotchery is traded or released.”

Because the defense was number three in the league last year and the offense, was not.

There is obviously something else in the works or reasons that are not apparent for this to happen. If they were bringing Edwards back or bringing Moss in I could understand. Going after a 37 year old receiver makes no sense. I assume they would use another vet minimum exemption on him so he would really cost nothing but still doesn't make much sense.

Can't wait to see the deal(s) that none of us are aware of, there has to be something big.

So two of our starting receivers will be over 34? Meh.

Could also mean Sanchez gets to work with Holmes-Plax-Cotch-Mason-Keller-LT-McKnight all season.

Or the reasons for doing this are incredibly clear, and have been laid out over the preceding 7-8 pages.

WTF? I get why they'd want to shop Cotch, but Mason isn't exactly an upgrade, not even a wash.

Who gives a fuck where he goes? We'll beat them no matter who they put on the field.

Enough with this SOJF mentality. This team can beat the Patriots at their best. It's our time to take this division and hold on to it.

cotch has been one of my favorite players. it would kill to see him in a pats or dolphins uniform. i wouldn't fear him on the pats, it would just piss me off to see him there.

It seems like all of your favorite players are leaving. Keep up the good work.

i know. 3 years ago i got a leon and a cotch jersey in a 2 for 1 christmas deal on nfl.com. i'm afraid if i buy a revis jersey, he'll hold out next year and he'll be traded.

I really have a feeling that this will not happen. I'm sure Mason would rather stay in Baltimore, or even return to the Titans before coming here. One would also think that the Jets would rather have Braylon than Mason, even at 3 times the price. Rex commented today that they would have interest in signing Braylon if he drops his price.

I really think this is just a win win barganing chip for both Mason and the Jets. God I hope I'm right.

I just buy obscure jerseys - I rock the Ray Lucas jersey on game days. Most people think it's a Sanchez jersey until I turn around.

If Ihedigbo re-signs, I might buy a Dig bootleg.
