    Isn't that the excuse you're using against Derrick Mason? That he's old and washed up?

    Before last year everyone praised Cotchery for having the most amazing surest hands in the league. Now this past year while hurt he had more drops then usual, which is basically none usually. So now lets all judge Cotchery by last season. I cant even talk about this anymore.

    I'm not saying Mason is horrible, but he isnt really the upgrade you guys think he is. Its not like comaring Rice in his prime to Justin McCariens, I just dont think its worth losing Cotchery, I dont think its an upgrade really. If Cotchery is 100% this year hes just as good as Mason.

    Well if he's right he's right. I looked at thread title and was puzzled by the news, but with what is presented to you in this thread has you thinking this is a downgrade than you aren't very intelligent.

    Thats your opinion, I happen to think Cotchery is just as good or better when hes 100%.

    I dont think its a smart move. IMO

    This sucks. I like Mason but i'm a big fan of J-Co, Most of us are, It's gonna be sad to see him go.

    The problem is that if you really believe they are basically the same when healthy then this is a smart move. It will save the Jets 4 million in cap space next year and have no negative effect on the team this year. Your own opinion refutes your stance on the issue.
