Just saying, 12-4 wont win us the AFC East this year. Pats went 14-2 last year against what I believe was the hardest schedule in the NFL by far. I can see us going 12-4 but its not going to win us the division unless Brady blows out a knee again.
Look at the history of how well teams do after winning 14 or more games the previous season. Not saying that teams lose games because of how many they won the previous season, but just that teams that win that many games usually go down rather than up (or even having the same number of wins).
Something tells me the Jets handed the blueprint of how to stop the Pats offense to the league last January. That's exactly how you stop a spread offense. They scored 3 points for 49 minutes in that game. Now, not every defense has the talent to stop Tom Brady. But at least they have a better shot.
Yes ... they had an amazing season. But they easily could have lost games to the Ravens, Chargers, Packers and Colts. To go 14-2 you obviously have to be very good, AND you also need plenty of things to go your way (like an O-lineman returning a kick 70 yards to win you a game). I see them losing at least 4 games this year.
I see what some of you are saying about Denver being a trap game but I think this team has shown that they're more prone to having losses snowball rather than winning a big game and then losing against a bad team. Last season, second Dolphins game being an example of the former and the first Bills game being an example of the latter.

I got us going 11-5 with losses to NE, SD, DEN, PHI, MIA. Way too early to tell, but I hate the matchup for us playing Sunday night vs NE, then flying across the country to play DEN Thursday night. Sounds like a total trap game/letdown game due to the travel. I also think the Miami game will be a loss because we'll have nothing to play for.

Our schedule is looking pretty damn easy now that free agency is over Besides the Patriots, from week 1-14 theirs doesnt seem to be a team thats better than us. The Ravens have regressed, so have the chargers. Raiders lost asomougha, jags suck, dolphins are throwing their season, bills blah, LOLskins, broncos dont kno who their QB is, probably will get that n00b tebow by the time we play em, Joke Schedule. Eagles and Patriots are legit the rest are just bad or frauds. This wont be 2009 when everyone on this board was calling the Dolphins and Bills cake games then we lost em, I think we learned our lesson from those days. Rex and Sanchez were younger and inexperienced. They wont let these cake games get away.
