Jeremy Kerley is gonna be the same player as Brad Smith, but a better actual Receiver, If you look at his in college: All American return man, All Mountain West Receiver and Special Teamer, and he even can play the wildcat, because he has thrown 5-10 times in his college career
Please stop, we gave him away. 5th rd picks are not hard to come by, Holmes was traded for a 5th b/c of unusual circumstances. I'm fine w/ getting rid of him but we didn't have to give him away. I think McKnight will be fine(he better be a contributor this year) and we always have good KRs but I thought we gave hima way for nothing 2 years ago- that was my biggest problem w/ the whole situation.
A lot of people were unhappy with his tender, thinking it was too low...and no one signed him. His market wasn't as good as we thought. In all likelihood, we gave him away for exactly what we could, and we were a better team last season than we would have been keeping him.
Yep. LW wasn't going for anything higher. The Jets got John Conner in return. He could easily be a 9 year FB on this team. I'll take getting rid of a ST KR and a 3rd down back for a 9 year FB.
Shit, I'd call injury uncertainty a usual circumstance. No GM was going to hand over a 4th or higher for a role player with a horrific injury.
You guys got ellis lankster?!?!?! LMFAOOO here is his highlight video youtube.com/watch?v=rFQTaXY6eP8&feature=related
Your team was stupid enough to waste a draft pick on him!! Training camp fodder, for the Jets. Get a friggin QB and stop trying to be a CFL team.
Janesports Jane McManus Ryan said bringing James Ihedigbo back is still an option. Would also like to see Braylon, S. Ellis, Pool back for right price. #Jets So we know Rex likes Pool but they are waiting for his price demands to come down. I don't believe that Eric Smith should be starting at safety. He's still at his best as a role player and on special teams.
I agree with all of this. Smith is a role player, not a starter. I love the way Rex and Pettine rotate the safeties - it has to be incredibly confusing for quarterbacks.
Yup, the three headed monster of Pool/Smith/Leonard is brutal for qb's to try and figure out. I hope by announcing Smith is the starter that they are just trying to put pressure on Pool to sign for the vet minimum. Smith is at this best on 30-35 snaps from scrimmage in specific roles and then 10 special teams plays.
