I've had a feeling NE would jump at trading for him. Just think the Giants can get rid of a headache and fuck the Jets at the same time.
All you can hope is that their #2 will be worth way less than everybody else's and they end up trading him to one of the other three. Of course they have 2 #2s(as usual) and I don't know where the second one is coming from.
Hes ending up with the Pats. Why? Because we are Jet fans and thats what happens to us. It addresses the Pats biggest need. We have the same need and have never addressed it. Osi will be a beast for them.
Other things that happen to us include: watching our team eliminate 14-2 teams on the road, in the playoffs. Chill dude, he's not going to the Pats.
Ok...the Jets are NOT getting Osi. Discussion over. The Giants would NEVER give him to the cross town rivals. HOWEVER, anybody who is saying he wouldn't make "sense" for us because he doesn't fit into our system need to get their heads checked. Give me a break. He's exactly what they need. Now I think people need to chill out a little bit about our pass rush because they HAVE addressed it with the draft and people are forgetting that in favor of free agency/trades...You build defense through the draft! Its been that way forever.
Two AFCC appearances in two years and you're still just waiting for something bad to happen? That's dedication to the miserable life of a SOJF. If he goes to the Pats, it won't be because we're Jets fans.
haha, yeah i guess he could. I just wanted to respond to the SOJ-inspired post. We all know the Pats are a perfect trading partner. I think the main reason I don't think Osi will end up in NE is that NE is pretty cheap with 1st and 2nd round picks. I could see them doing it for a 3rd rounder. Not much more.
Loved being in the AFCC twice in a row but it would have been nice to win one huh? I'm not a SOJF but I'm realistic about my team
That's exactly what every SOJF says. How in the world is it "realistic" to think that your team is cursed? Have the Jets experienced heartbreak through the years? Absolutely. Does that dictate the future? No.
As somebody else said earlier, NE would never pay him what he wants. No chance he goes there. Trade all you want and let him hold out on you too.
dont know about that. they already have a damn good dline(if Albert isnt a shit face) this player will put them over the top. i still think he somehow winds up with the ravens.
A league source on Wednesday denied a report that the New York Giants have lowered their price for disgruntled defensive end Osi Umenyiora from a first-to-a-second-round draft choice. According to the source, the Giants still are asking for a top pick, which hasn't produced interest to this point. http://clarkjudge.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/6384866/31077480
