Boss would be a great pick up, he was productive with the giants and not a bad number 2 at all FWIW he's got a few inches on Keller which could be huge for the their lacking red zone offense along with Plex
Ihedigbo is intentionally drawing the process out for as long as he can to screw the Jets, because he is pissed that we tried to sign Asomugha before him.
I'm surprised that Boss hasn't signed somewhere yet (in fact, I'm very surprised that the Giants haven't brought him back--Manning loves that guy.) I'd theoretically love to add him--he's a very good and underrated player--but a good 2nd tight end might be a luxury that can't afford since we're up against the cap.
Bo Scaife (TE titans) would be a pretty solid pickup as well. I have no idea how committed the Titans are at keeping him, but this guy helped block for CJ2k and he aint bad at it. Never had a ton of receiving yards, but he can catch so would be excellent to use in the redzone as well.
The way it's looking he won't get $10M a year and the deal will be closer to $10M/2 Year contract. I'm sure we could have done $5M a year... oh well
I brought this up in another forum, IMO, Cliff Avril would a perfect replacement for B. Thomas. OLB isn't our strongest position. It would cost a draft pick/trade since he's an RFA.
Maybe the UFL can pool together all their money and sign him because no NFL team will give him that...
I love the thought of getting him but, hes tendered for a 1st + 3rd . Not to mention hes gonna command a relatively big contract to keep him
The Titans believe they're set at tight end with Jared Cook. I spoke very highly of this guy the year he was drafted. I expect big things from him this season. Besides Vernon Davis, he's the most physically gifted tight end in the league. ...it's time to put it all together.
