Dont worry about Aso, honestly before this free agency period began alot of casual NFL fans never even heard of this guy. Hell when I was talking to people about him 3 months ago, alot people here in NY looked at me with 3 eyes... Hes got a big target on him now, and he will surely be tested this year considering the NFC East is playing the AFC East and the Eagles are playing plenty of good teams. Im not calling Aso a fraud but I dont think hes been tested as much as Revis has, I could be wrong though. Add the fact that he doesnt always defend the #1 reciever, instead just one side of the field.
Aso should learn how to move away from the right side and cover the other teams best WR on every down before he saids anything else.
Holmes made the great point that the Jets Top 2 WR's each have Game Winning Super Bowl catches and did it back to back years. That has a championship feel to me.
Having lived in Philadelphia for a few years and lived (not an easy feat being a fan of any team that ISN'T Philadelphia) most of my college friends are Eagles fans. I really hope their team falls WAY short this year, seeing as how I've not heard the end of the Aso crap yet.
Considering D Jax is not happy, Maclin is all fucked up with Mono or HIV or some shit and Vick is one wrong turn away from the IR I'd say they were far from being champs. It's easy to win the offseason cup...all they need to do is look a few hours south on I-95 to see that.
JennyVrentas RT @geoffmosher: Per Forth Worth Star Telegram, Dallas DC Rob Ryan called Eagles "all-hype team. But we're going to beat their ass ..." Rob Ryan is equally cool.
Compared to the Raiders, any team has that "championship feel". I'm not mad at all that Aso chose the Eagles, in fact I am totally cool with it. I was worried about how much he'd cost, and I'm totally confident in Revis + Cro - those guys are ours.
