Probably the most talented WR of all-time, I'll miss watching him play.

I wouldn't count out a potential return. He wanted to go to a team with a chance to win it all this year. All it takes is one injury from one of those teams to give him a call.

Moss only had one truly great QB for his entire career, and it only lasted for 3 and 1/4 seasons because he talked his way out of town. Jerry Rice had much much better and consistent options delivering the ball for a very long time.

Well, it should have been, but with the sheer number of ridiculous shit that's said around here on a daily basis its sometimes hard to pick up on the sarcastic ones.

Thats one for a great debate. Rice by all means was the better teamate and person and perfect for the west coast offense. If Moss had spent more years with Hall of fame caliber QB's his numbers could have been otherwroldly as well. If he had been a life long Pat or Colt instead of with Culpepper for those first 7 years..... scary.

I understand that Randy was a monster athlete and all, but to say he was on par with Rice as a WR requires a lot of "what-ifs" and "pretend time", imo.

The stats and rings show that Rice was superior. Dude was a ProBowler with 92 catches and 1200 yards when he was 40. As far as work ethic, conditioning, route-running, champion's mentality...not even close.
Physical skills , though, you can certainly make a case that Randy was superior to every WR in history. Shoot, Calvin Johnson blows Rice away when it comes to measurables.

You may of answered your own question. Moss was second only to Rice and he took two out of every three plays off. Who would have been number 1 if Rice did that?

Sadly, he could have been better.

He should be a first ballot HOF, but I've got a feeling his antics might cost him to wait a while.

He'll get in on the first ballot, but when looking back at his career there's a feeling that a lot was left on the table.

Moss could have been the best, but he decided to take a personal time-out on many plays.
