Yeah and on top of that, the Giants don't really need a receiver (which is why I never thought bringing back Burress made sense for them in the first place)

I'm going to try to keep a level head here and not just rant and rave, but does anyone realize what a FUCKING TERRIBLE decision it would be to give our third year quarterback Santonio Holmes and four brand new receivers?

Fuck sentimentality; that's my cross to bear as a Cotchery fan; how about a little offensive continuity?

    Fucking terrible idea.

Although I agree this would be to free up 2012 space not 2011...

Wow, that's a hell of a deal for both of them. I hate that we can't restructure those contracts next year, but it does provide a lot of flexibility for 2013. I think this means Cotchery is a necessary trade.

Someone mentioned it earlier but it was the same point I was going to make.

Sanchez is always having to develop chemistry with new receivers. It would be nice to keep at least one around that he's already got 2 years in with.

If they do trade Cotch it damn well better be to try and get Braylon back.

No. Now that we know the terms of the Bart Scott/Calvin Pace contract work, this trading Cotch stuff makes even more sense.

From the pressser it certainly seemed like this is a possibility.

Both Mike and Rex talked about potential future trades and when Cotch's name was brought up it wasnt slapped down again.

I hate the idea of trading Cotch as much as anyone else, but if it's for this then I reluctantly approve. There's going to be a fuck of a lot of money tied up in receivers though.

They were never getting Moss. One has nothing to do with the other.

Dude, either you are one of the weakest Jets fans ever, or you don't pay attention to every other team in the NFL. I could go on and on with a list of things the Jets have done in the name of loyalty for players. The stuff you're seeing right now with rumors of Cotchery being on the trade-block is just part of the business of football. The reality is probably just about any player on the team with the exception of 3-4 guys are potentially on the trade block.

Every team in the NFL trades players who have been solid contributors. None of these guys are going to be unemployed, they will still make their millions with another team. Now please, stop making posts about how bad the Jets are, I'm becoming convinced you're a a troll.

The other thing I don't get is... with no Cotchery and with Burress @ 35yrs of age who exactly do they plan on having at WR in 2012?

    Holmes-...

True. It does start to make a lot of sense if Braylon will do the right deal.
