If we talking about signing former busts, I'd throw Jamaal Anderson's name out there. While he doesn't have the ability to play outside in a 43, he did show some value as a passrushing DT for ATL. So why not bring him in as a 34 DE for a cheap?

His athleticism and strength would be well above average at the position and could end up being a future contributor...

One thing I trust Tanny to do over anything is his due diligence.

I agree. I thought his speed and coverage skills were above average, but the little fucker just refused to turn around. It was so frustrating.

Guys I would still like to see us go after
    FS Available:
James Ihedigbo (One of my favorite backups.)
Abram Elam (Liked when we was here and he did pretty good in Cleveland.)
Donte Whitner (Tackling machine last year with 140 tackles.)

    SS Available:
Brodney Pool (He knows our system and was reliable.)
Bernard Pollard (111 tackles, 4 FF, 2.5 sackles...good stats, great size)

    LB/DE 3-4
Manny Lawson (Solid depth guy, may thrive under Rex.)

    TE
Zach Miller (Young, big pass catching machine.)

    We are talking to
CB Phillip Buchanon (Like to add him...)

I don't think Whitner is as good as his stats suggest, I just think the Bills were that awful on defense. Whitner is the guy that LT juked out of his mind in Buffalo

You get 140 tackles in 16 games in the NFL you are good....

He may have missed LT once, but he didn't miss often

Any chance at Braylon coming back for 1-year and trying his luck at Free Agency again next off-season?

I absolutely LOVE LT. Dude is a born leader. Listening to some of his crazy pregame rants are insane. "ANY MAN CAN BE BEAT"

Not looking likely at all. I guess he was hated in the locker room or something. It was never apparent on the surface though, I thought and still think he was a hard worker for us.

I think it would be logical to say Donte Whitner's value(if there was any ever high value that is) has dropped these past few days. I would like to see if we could get him for a 2 year contract. 3million a year, if possible.

I honestly think Pool is better though.

At this point I'd really welcome Cromartie back.

I'm assuming when he worked with Revis, they worked on reading receivers. It's a very underrated aspect of being a press corner. You can't play tight coverage on your man and track the ball visually. Wilson needs to work on reading his receivers to track the ball. Revis is phenomenal at that, and it's often the difference between a PD and PI.

I think Whitner is a better package DB, but Pool dous have a year under his belt in our defense. With this short training period, Pool would be the best signing, if he would sign for the right price.

Well past mid-night no updates at all, headed to bed and hope we either sign Cromartie or cut ties with him by time I wake up...
