Samuel doesn't really fit into the scheme. He's more of a cover 2 guy who goes for picks. Jets want man to man physical receivers. I'll be really pissed off if we used a 2nd round pick for Cromartie, lose him and then trade more picks.

We'll just have to hope he never sees the field in a game where we're not winning or losing big. He's still a good mentor for McElroy and Sanchez.

Manish reporting our old friend Kerry Rhodes is recruiting Braylon. I would think the Cardinals need more of a possesion receiver to complement all world LF.

Has anyone taking a shot at what our 53 will look like and how many spots are actually open?

    QB (3)
    Sanchez
    Brunell
    Mcelroy

    RB (5)
    Tomlinson
    Greene
    Powell
    Mcknight
    Conner

    WR (4)
    Plax
    Holmes
    Cotchery
    Kerley

    TE (2)
    Keller
    Cumberland

    OL (7)
    Brick
    Slauson
    Mangold
    Moore
    Vlad
    Hunter
    Turner

    DL (4)
    Wilkerson
    Kenrick Ellis
    Pouha
    Devito

    LB (7)
    Thomas
    Pace
    Harris
    Scott
    Laury
    Westerman
    Mauga

    Secondary (7)
    Revis
    Strickland
    Cole
    Wilson
    Lowery
    E Smith
    Leonhard

    P/K (2)

41 Roster spots that are pretty much set. Lots of potential d lineman like Ropati, Gilbert and Shaun Ellis fit he signs that could make that team. Secondary and tight end seem to be the two positions that Tannenbaum needs to focus on.

I think the Big money has about dried up in NFL Free Agency. Some Agent is out there sweating for over estimating his clients value.

Think he's talking about Braylon? lol

If this is true it sounds like he was never coming back after all.

I wasn't even aware that we presented a deal to Dig.

Five hours ago, Schefter said we were close to a deal with Cromartie. What gives?

I still don't understand having no interest in Pool. It doesn't seem like anyone else is going after him. Maybe Rex thinks he sucks.

They are probably waiting to see if he gets any offers before moving in. It will not hurt to wait and see what value he has.

I think they will eventually sign him some time this week after camp opens.

Funny that Alvin Shitheel is talking about over estimating a clients value...

  11. Guess so. Had to figure there was something more to it.

That said, almost all WRs have some level of diva to them.

Maulemuea(sp?) is still out there for a blocking TE, not the greatest reciever but can easily fill Hartsock's role.

i have no idea how Clements was not signed. Your telling me he wouldn't choose us over Cinci for the same contract? That deal for Clements the next two seasons would be PERFECT! At that point, we would know what we have in Wilson and whether or not we need to address another CB in the draft or free agency and we would be able to keep Braylon on board this yr, as well as Pool, Ellis, etc...I cannot believe 2 yrs 10.5 mill for a great man CB with no off the field issues
