Good for him. He's going back home and he'll be the #1 TE in ARZ.

the fact is the giants would never trade osi to us unfortunately, and given the fact that osi has never played in a 34 i dont think its worth a 2 and a big deal.

I actually think he'd be fine at OLB, but I think you're right, no way in hell the Giants make a trade with us.

The Patriots are going to give Braylon a long-term deal? I can't see that at all, their 'risks' are with guys who they don't have to make long-term commitments too. Unless they manage to steal Braylon on a one or two-year deal and he goes there out of spite. Of course it's the fool who's tweeting it.

Pats never give WRs long term deals..

Any TEs other than Miller left? I'd really like to match the Pats having two good TEs.

I would shit my pants, if Braylon Edwards was a Patriot.

They already filled their quota of talented black skill position players. You need to make sure you have enough hard working scrappy crackers in New England

Umenyiora lists at 6-3, 261. Ware lists at 6-4, 262. It doesn't seem like a big difference but they look like they have different body types. Ware is taller. He might even be 2 inches taller. It's possible the Giants were generous with Umenyiora's height. Umenyiora is more squatty which would suggest a much better fit as a lineman than as a stand-up rush linebacker.

Furthermore, to play effectively as a 3-4 OLB, Umenyiora would have to cover tight ends on occasion and I doubt he's up to that. Otherwise, he'd basically have to be used as a designated pass rusher.

I've been advocating for another good TE since 09. Would it be the absolute worst thing to go with Wilson at CB, and pickup Miller with the free cap money? Would Wilson be worse then Lito was?

2 TE sets (Keller/Miller), with our WR corps can cause all kinds of match up problems. Since we lost a good blocker in Braylon, this could also give us some extra room in the running game. Additionally, it would give Mark another safety net on the field. Keep in mind that LT is still really good catching out of the backfield, so this can cause a lot of defensive issues.

How have no teams been seriously linked to a Manny Lawson, or Matt Roth? Hopefuly they lose $$ value.

    They already have.

The Chargers kicked the tires on Lawson, but that's it.

He's a risk, although worst case scenario he's a younger Cactus...

I think the main problem this year has been it was never going to match up to last year with Holmes and Cro and Hard Knocks etc - it all just feels very flat this time around.

Are the Jets at the training facility starting Training Camp as we speak? Because I've been watching NFL Network all day and they haven't even given any given any coverage of the facility and they sure as hell haven't shown any interviews. I just thought it was a little weird.
