Wooooow. And they just signed cullen jenkins. One hell of an off season for the FO. Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
Just traded Broderick Bunkley to the browns for a 2012 5th round pick http://twitter.com/#!/JasonLaCanfora/statuses/97415728327692288
what's hard to understand? everything you just listed either has, or by your own assumption will, turn out in their favor. what are you so confused about by a team making smart personnel moves? exactly, which makes all the imbeciles claiming he doesn't want to win because he chose the Eagles over the Jets even more ridiculous. it probably wasn't very hard to convince Aso that signing with the Jets means they will lose key players that contributed to their success, but the Eagles can sign him and add players to their existing team.
"In past 48 hours, Eagles have added Cullen Jenkins, Nnamdi Asomugha, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and extra second- and fifth-round picks." http://twitter.com/#!/AdamSchefter/status/97417102532677632 they got Cullen for 5 years at $25 million
Phila is the best team in the NFL if two things happen: 1) The o-line holds up; 2) Vick tosses accurate passes. I'm not convinced their high-flying, loose style can get them past the Pack, who have the vastly better QB. They gotta be able to run and stop the run. Lastly, Reid has been shaky as coach. They've pulled serious coups these last couple days, though, without question. Gotta tip your cap to their mgmt.
The Packers are still a bigger favorite. The Patriots and Jets are also currently slightly bigger favorites to win the Super Bowl than are the Eagles.
The vegas total o/u is pre free-agency. Give it a couple weeks, and I'm sure the Eagles will be at least 3rd, possible tied for first or better. The Pats and Packs are at 11.5, Eagles @ 10.
I just saw current odds posted on ESPNEWS shortly before I made my previous post in this thread. The odds were from a certain sportsbook (I didn't pay attention to that) and were current as of tonight. There was a reason I wrote "currently" in my previous post. I used the term correctly.
Wow, the eagles are seriously tooling up for a run at the SB. Unless Vick gets hurt and Young can't handle the pressure of that shithole, they very well may be in the SB.
This idea that they're not keeping all three corners is misguided to me. They did what they actually needed to do after giving up the most passing TD's in their history last season and going up against passing attacks like the Packers, Saints, Cowboys and Giants where you need three good cover corners. The only thing that might sink them (leaving injuries out of it) is an extended D-Jax holdout.
