Really silly how Kay and others are stressing over Tannys pursuit of Aso like they arent also talking to other agents or players. If Aso goes to Houston, they will wrap up Edwards/Cro or comparable players rather quickly. Tanny isnt a tunnel vision GM, he can multi task. Hey Kay, stick to baseball
Got a feeling the Texans fans are going to be way more depressed if he signs with us than we'd be if Aso signed with them.
It's not just about sacks. Who in the Jets front 7 garners a double team? Who does the opposition game plan for? No one now that Jenkins is gone. I guarantee if this defense had a legit pass rusher that needed to be game planned it would make a huge difference. It would mean as much, if more so than Revis basically taking the other teams #1 option away. If the Jets had a great pass rush, don't you think it is possible Rapethisburger might have not prolonged that last drive? The Steelers would have been shitting themselves if the Jets got the ball back. So technically the Jets lack of a pass rush made a huge difference in that game....... well at least the one I was watching.
Since he's trying to rape us it could be = A$$-mug-ya (A$$mugya/Asomugha) Yep, pretty lame, but really bored..)
As I said somewhere higher up in the thread, Asomugha is a luxury for the Jets. He's a necessity for the Texans.
UGH!! If nothing else, I hope the Jets sign Aso soon just so I can stop hearing all these sportscasters gush over what a brilliant low risk/high reward move Haynesworth to the Pats was.
TheJetsStream Manish Mehta Brad Smith tells me: "The #Jets talked conceptually about deals, but (it was) all contingent on what happened with Nnamdi." #nyj Come on Nnamdi!
Really, Skip Bayless? Isn't Haynesworth just a "2nd great run-stuffer" (Wilfork)? At least Nnamdi would start.
