I can't comprehend the love that Plaxico Burress is getting on this site. He hasn't played ball in two years and a lot of you still want him. A lot of you seem to forget that Randy Moss doesn't have a ring - that's about the only thing he hasn't done in this league. If he wants to win, the best place for him is New York. Tennessee was a black hole, just like the Oakland team he played for. He'll try for a competitive team.
I'd be willing to say he'd have a Better year than Holmes if he signed here I knew Welker was good before Moss, but Moss as a Decoy made Welker made him that much better. Cotch in the slot would damage too
RichCimini Rich Cimini Santonio Holmes fallout: Braylon Edwards to Skins is good bet. And, as I've been saying for months, #Jets get Randy Moss. My prediction
I don't get the Plax love either. If Moss was shutting down on a 14-2 team with Tom Brady, he's going to do it here. Rex is amazing, but Moss is his own animal. He's not a Jet. He doesn't not have that mentality.
Randy Moss didn't shut down in New England last season, he called out the coaching staff...that shit doesn't fly in New England. Belichick doesn't care how talented you are. He's not a player's coach like Rex Ryan. In four games with NE, he caught 9 balls and scored 3 TDs. He quit in Minnesota because that team wasn't going anywhere. ...he signed with the Titans for a little cash.
Did you not watch the first Patriots/Jets game? The guy's the most physically gifted player to ever play the position. It's a damn shame his priorities have been mixed up during his entire career - just imagine what could have been.
Football years are like dog years. Players (particularly non-QBs) can be great one year but then be completely done the next. The same thing is happening to Anquan Boldin. I just think signing Moss would be a risky move.
He did have 83 catches two years ago. Last year was bad but being bounced around to 3 teams with apparent problems on NE, maybe (this is just me hoping) it was just a bad situation to be in and he can still play well. Plus, Braylon had 53 receptions all year and he was #1 for 4 games. 3 of his 7 touchdowns came in those first 4 weeks. I feel like Moss can play to this level of a #2 option. I prefer Braylon, but i'll accept Moss
Randy Moss is a once in a generation type talent at wideout. That's really all I should have to say here. I'll back this guy up 'til the very end. I do not agree with his attitude and I hate the fact that he's wasted so much of his talent by giving up, but he is still a potentially dominant player, especially as a deep threat. As a third or fourth option, I don't know how you can turn him down. He'll be behind Holmes, Cotchery, and possibly Keller in terms of targets. ...but he'll make an impact down-the-field. If he starts acting up, you can him. It's a simple boom-or-bust signing.
