Nope, all players can agree to terms, but nothing is official to Friday, I believe.

Free agents can agree in principle. The ink doesn't have to be on the contract.

For instance, Kellen Clemens and Barry Cofield have already been linked to Washington, though they haven't officially signed anything.

No, officially they can't sign until the Friday but they can agree to terms and share it with any player of any team.

Correct. Just agreeing in principle can happen for today and tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure Scrabble's contract was voided making him an unrestricted FA. I think we'll hear something about it as soon a deal is reached.

    to be honest
Andre- top 1or 2 wideouts in the NFL
    Larry- top 3 wideout
Marshall- a jerkoff but top 4-5 wideout

    Holmes-maybe top 10

not saying this is a bad deal yet either but those comparisons arent even close

He can drink all he wants as long as he stays away from the bud (or at least getting caught)

The comparison is the fact that Holmes' guaranteed money isn't insane, and he's being paid as a top 7-10 WR, not a top 5.

Joe Roberts (Beningo and Roberts on WFAN) just said Holmes left money on the table to stay with Jets.

    Don't we all look dumb

I don't. I was championing this cause the entire time.

Most wanted Braylon, I thought this was a no brainer.

Just that alot of people thought he would take the highest bidder. I want him over Braylon but didn't see us getting any form of a bargain

I remember I posted something about if he went to Washington he'd bitch and moan all season about the CS and the fact that his QB sucks, so he'd come back here.

Holmes said after he agreed to this deal that knowing Sanchez and playing for Rex is why he returned, which is a way to say the HC/QB combo in WAS blows. And it does. Shannahan isn't the coach he used to be because he has no roster to work with.

I can imagine Washington was ready to give him 28-30 million guaranteed

pretty neat seeing the tweets from his teammates (past & present) - all saying he's a good teammate and good friend - not that it matters with his production, but good to see the people who actually interact with him think highly of him.
