    Marriucci brings up a good point that Evans isn't even a player rep. So this is like that game telephone and Evans is at the bottom of the rung.

    Maybe Al Davis was the only one with a soul and didn't wanna try to pull a fast one on the owners.

    On the real tho, does it actually make sense to some of you guys that the owners would try to pull a fast one on the players knowing full well they have a strong legal team going over every point of the proposal??

    They still have the players in sort of a PR vice grip. To the average fan right now, it looks as if the players are just holding this thing up. Which obviously is not true.

    Which is exactly what these machinations are about, PR. It wasn't about the owners trying to 'slip' something by the players, more like compelling them to accept a bad deal or get PR backlash for the first time.

    PR backlash against the players hurts sales thus affecting revenue and the owners wallets. Something isn't right because the owners can't be that fucking stupid.

    The terms were negotiated and verbally agreed on prior to the actual voting, right? I mean, lawyers were involved throughout this process, right? What could possibly be so new to the players right now?

    I'm so confused. This is stupid.

    When billions of dollars are involved you'd be surprised how stupid people get, this whole lockout's stupid to begin with. All the owners care about is squeezing the poop out of every buffalo on each nickel to get as much out of the CBA as they can.

    Sounds like the players asked for some changes yesterday, and they haven't had time to see if those changes have been incorporated into the agreement. They need to see everything and check it is all ok before voting on it.

    So from what I can tell the players objections are that some areas of the old cba that were not brought up in negotiations remain unchanged. And that the NFL is imposing a timeline to reform the NFLPA.

    Am I missing anything?

    And the NFL is forcing the NFLPA to re-certify as a union which is against labor laws.
