Hopefully this is not the case. The idea of Dany and the other 2 flying around Westeros on dragons smiting their enemies sounds like something out of bad fan fiction.

It would also greatly diminish/cheapen the future story arc of the guy you're referring to if this was was true.

I don't believe they can fly them, that's a whole different role. (I think)

I realize they are just following the books... but I think waiting til the very end of the season to bring in the dragons (after getting people sucked in) was a good decision. I think they would have lost a large part of the audience they have built if the show started out all 'dragon-y.' Myself included.

Shame on your husband for letting you watch TV in the kitchen.

He doesn't really "let" me. The chain attached to my ankle shackle reaches just far enough for me to be able to peek around the corner.

I was a bit dissappointed with how they've developed the wolves. Just a few random attacks was stupid, and then all of the sudden we just hear that one killed all these men and horses. Weak. I just hope they do better with the dragons, which I think looked absolutely awesome. Although I'm sure having a naked Dany helped them out a bit.

I'm trying to figure out what I'll do in the meantime. I'll try Falling Skies for now. Then Walking Dead and Boardwalk Empire in the Fall. Then catch up on some shows that I've been meaning to watch in the winter, maybe True Blood, Dexter, Breaking Bad, Spartacus. Then back to GOT.

Talk about raking it in - on Amazon.co.uk at the moment the books from the Song of Fire and Ice series are at numbers 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 in the sales chart and the next in the series is #1 in the pre-orders chart.

    http://primetime.unrealitytv.co.uk/...mean-more-battles-and-direwolves-in-season-2/

GOT bosses have promised more battle scenes, more direwolves and more CGI dragons in season two, because of their newly increased production budget.

    happy?

    LOL-

I knew that was why, and it was a good call.

The one complaint I heard and read from the loyal book readers was the severe lack of direwolves and their increased role in the books.
    I'm looking forward to both.

Spartacus is having some issues now that Spartacus the Gladiator is no more and now they have to shoot some large scale battles on a TV budget. I"m glad they did Gods of the Arena to introduce us to Gannicus, since he is a general for Spartacus in the Third Servile War.

Not surprised at all about the costs being a big part of why there were less than expected action scenes. They wanted to make sure this thing got off the ground and was successful. Neither the dire wolves or the battle scenes were anything remotely make or break it for me with this show. I will be happy to see what and how they do incorporate that part of the story, but thus far great characters and great casting is carrying this show - as it should with a good story.

The direwolves, with maybe the exception of Jon's wolf Ghost, play a pretty small role in the first book, so I doubt the lack of them in the first season was that unforgivable. They play huge roles in the next 2 books, so there's no realistic way they can ignore them in production, unless they really change the hell out of it.

Anyone else just find that last Stark kid that is back in Winterfell with Bran just utterly creepy? He's always been such a footnote for me in the series for the most part, but that scene they shot in the crypts was pretty spooky. Him and his deranged direwolf.

I seriously laughed so hard when I tried to watch Spartacus. Maybe I was in the wrong frame of mind, but me and my 2 friends were dying laughing at how pathetically cheesy that show was. Maybe it got better, but we seriously didn't make it through the first episode. Game of Thrones is clearly on another level.

Correct, he is depicted as an albino in the books, white fur and red eyes, not sure if they made him white in the series.

So the horsemen will have dragons and the starks have direwolves. It's going to really suck to be a lannister stuck in between that.

2 different types of shows no doubt.

I love the 300-ish action scenes, but yeah the series gets better after each episode. Just watching the first wouldn't do it justice. You also have to keep in mind the budget they had to work with. Only recently has Starz really tried to develop original programming.
