If Pouha and Devito were that good, the Jets would not have spent their first 2 draft selections on down linemen. They are both adequate players, but we have likely seen their ceiling of improvement already.
I agree. I don't know if DeVito is going to get any better. Pouha isn't a great 3rd down NT like Jenkins was. It sucks. The Jets drafted these two because of how they can disrupt the pocket as DLmen. Lets hope it works.
Pouha is arguably the most underrated defensive lineman in the NFL. The problem with him is his age. He's already 32 years old. I highly doubt he'll play past 35, even with the limited amount of wear and tear on his body. Mike DeVito is a rotational player. It's the player that he's always going to be. As long as he works his ass off, he'll always have a place on this team as a rotational end. Wilkerson and Ellis have the upside and talent to solidify this line for a long damn time.

They are both quality players but you need some depth and you need to get younger as well. people don't realize that pouha is already 32 years old and we didn't have much depth on the DL. Add in the 2 rookies to a roation w/ those guys and an average DL hopefully becomes an above average one.
