I could see them going Edwards/Cotch/Kerley. They're probably going to sign a vet, but I don't think it will be Ocho/either Moss or TO just because of the money issue. I can see them going more towards a Lance Moore or Danny Amendola type that can play the slot and are cheap if they don't resign holmes. If they somehow screw the pooch (which is rare for our F.O lately) and lose both holmes and edwards I could see them chasing after one of the old WRs (Ocho, TO, Randy Moss) or another high profile FA WR (Floyd, Sidney Rice). I'd really like to see them work out something where they can sign holmes and edwards, but wouldn't we all?
I have to say if we can't have both i would want Edwards...its great to see how much he wants to be here! Holmes is great and like the rest of you i want him back as well, but he's already said he's chasing the money...whoever pays him the most will get his services...and the kicker of it all is braylon said he would even take less money to help resign Tone.
If it's just choosing which player I'd rather have with all things being equal, I think it's clear Holmes is the better option. But all things are not equal.. Edwards clearly wants to be a Jet and is willing to take less to stay. Holmes will go to the highest bidder and could end up costing a decent amount of money more than Edwards. I will put it like this: I'd rather be able to sign Edwards and Cromartie than just Holmes and be a little weaker at other positions.

rodboone Rod Boone RT @DUSTINKELLER81: Jets west has been perfect. @Mark_Sanchez has done a great job with getting everyone down here & yall will see #jetswest
Has anyone heard anything about Shonn Greene this offseason? He is probably the player I most want to see attending Jets West, and it sounds like he isn't there. The main weakness is Greene's game is his pass catching, route running, and being on the same page with Sanchez in the passing game. Attending a passing camp with Sanchez is the perfect place for him to gain some chemistry in the passing game with Sanchez as well as get some more 1 on 1 tutoring from LT. Unless there is a very good reason, it kind of blows my mind that he isn't attending. It seems like the Jets want a couple bruisers at RB (Greene, Powell) with some change of pace, quick, pass catching backs to use in certain situations (LT, McKnight). So it makes some sense that LT and McKnight are at Jets West while Greene and Powell aren't, but they could both use some more intimate coaching from LT as well as increased chemistry with Sanchez. The more well rounded our RBs are the more dangerous our offense becomes. If Greene isn't going to become more integrated into the passing game he better be bulldozing linebackers this year.
I've decided I'm 100% behind signing Holmes.... I woke up in a cold sweat after dreaming the PATS signed Holmes... Imagine that #### - how much would that Tweak the Jets to have the guy they were all giddy about "He's the best player on the field!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Not sure if this even means anything, but Rich Cimini came and talked to my sports reporting class yesterday and was asked about the Holmes/Edwards situation and according to him, the Jets have made Holmes their number 1 priority. He also thinks that Smith and Cromartie return.
You should've asked him about the "druggie" tweet. Then go on to tell him how big a of a bitch he is. And that he'll never be half the reporter Manish is.
No, and I don't want him to get off to another slow start like last season. I hope he's training hard somewhere.
Though, I've always been for resigning Edwards and trading Holmes...it would be extremely detrimental to let Holmes get away only to go to the Pats. Also, seeing the adjustment period Edwards had, I'm not sure we've seen the best from Holmes yet.
