This is why I like Woody - he wins.

That's why when I read about people thinking he sucks as an owner its clear they don't see what he's done in a little over a decade for what used to be a fucking joke of a franchise.

I have my problems with him, but at least he spends money almost all the time when we need it, and we're winning. As long as we're winning, he can't be that bad of an owner. And he isn't a total prick like some of these other owners.

I like Woody, he wants the Jets to succeed lately. (unlike other owners who can give 2 shits about their teams) A lot people say its because Rex motivated him, but he did bring in Favre before Rex arrived.

Nevertheless he's been doing a good job lately.

Snyder not in the top ten? I realise that he might have made some pretty poor decisions when it comes to the football side, but I thought that he was pretty much singlehandedly responsible for making them such a hugely profitable franchise?

Hard to argue with most of that list, but Woody deserves to be ahead of Jerry Jones. Jones doesn't know when to check his ego, and it hurts his team.

Is the off-season that fucking dull that we now have a top 10 list of owners?

Can't wait for June's "Top 100 team doctors".

Woody wasn't always like this. He definitely changed once they were making the bid for the new stadium (and lovely PSLs) and then I noticed he started to care a lot about spending money. While I don't care about his greedy motivations, he better keep up this desire to put together the best team possible.

Who do you talk to that said Rex motivated him?

He's been winning and going to the playoffs since he's owned the team.

Same here, the problems I have with him deal with the way he is cheap w/veterans and the fact that he refused to build his own stadium but instead chose to go half and refused to spend and build his own.

Also, his "gifts" to former players is a joke!
    El Cheapo!!!

lmao, What's ironic here is how all of a sudden ESPN is a great, reliable, all world, end all, be all when it comes to calling our owner a top 10! it's Hallelujah time!!!

We have Half a new stadium and an all world GM that has to deal with a Cheap ass owner... that's the troof.

He's not cheap with veterans. He's poured money into FA.

His gifts are cheap with that whole "Flight inside the continental US." If they meant that much to the franchise, just make it a round trip ticket.

ESPN isn't reliable. They are the MTV of sports. But its pretty much become a consensus that he's a top 10 owner in this league. Not many teams can say they've had the success the Jets have had in the past 10 years, and the Jets have never had this kind of long term winning with Leon Hess.

Half a stadium is better than being tennants and renting an apartment every season. I'd like the Jets to have their own stadium, but it unfortunately never happened.

He's a top 10 associate of the Patriots.

    They love trading with him.
