Could not pass up the Dragon reference....lol I've not had a chance to catch up on this series yet. JFTR, Big fan of that literary genre....not so much gaming. (I had to look that $#it up
That's my favorite group so far, the Dothraki tribe. I'm looking forward to them kicking ass, and Daenerys' plot is getting better. I like that she's embracing her new people.
I just finished the first book about a month ago and I think you are correct on both accounts. I picked up on the same two things last nite and thought they were "off". They are still staying pretty accurate to the first book though.
Thank God. When you said D12, I thought you were talking about rap at first...then it became apparent it was some kind of D&D joke. I'm not a big fantasy genre fan, but someone told me to read Game of Thrones a while back and I was instantly hooked. It's fantastic storytelling.
Yeah, they've been remarkably accurate. Loved the final scene in last night's episode, too. Great adaptation. I actually think it's fantastic that they've incorporated a couple of things from later books, or rather hinted at them. People won't just be thrown into the Greyjoy storyline in season 2 this way.
Poor Tyrion, hes at the cutting edge. My dear Lady Stark, how many soldiers does it take to arrest one Imp? I've put up a list of cast & crew on page one and what awaits Pork-chop
I wish there was/hope there will be more scenes with them.... and lots more sex scenes ;-) Definitely my favorite characters of the show. Please tell me I am not going to end up hating them or they are going to be killed off very soon.
One of my favorite parts so far, I can't wait till that little shit dies. (the faggy blonde kid) The Imp is badass
One thing i had read about the books is that it was was tough for GRRM to write them (mostly with the 3rd and 4th books) as the timelines vary from scene to scene, character to character and chapter to chapter. That was one of the reasons it took so long for the more recent books to come out. I imagine that they would be trying to avoid this as much as possible in the series as viewers would get lost. My guess is that we may see a few more of the plot lines from the second book incorporated into season 1. Which means I need to finish the Clash of Kings soon...
The most recent books(a storm of swords, and a dance with dragons) he split the characters between the books south, and kings landing in the first and the far north and across the sea in the upcoming one. so that's going to be a nightmare from a time frame perspective.
I could certainly be mistaken. For some reason, I didn't think we learned Theon's story until the 2nd. I'm certain that The Hound has that conversation with Sansa, though, rather than Baelish. I was waiting for that one.
Yeah, I've been guessing that they'll split things differently for Seasons 4 and 5 if we get closer. SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER My wife doesn't like how Joffrey is so transparent about Sansa so early on in the show. I kind of agree. It might have been nice to have the hatred develop more.
The first chapter titled Theon was at the end of Book 1 and was considered a sneak at Clash of Kings. It was definitely not as early as it appears on the series.
Good news...episode 4's ratings went up, which is great considering there was little action....And as I have said episode 5 and 6 is where shit going to hit the fan http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/05/10/game-of-thrones-ratings-rise-again/ 3.1 million total viewers
Need Sir Ulrich von Leichtenstein, from Guilderland, to teach that pup how to joust. Roland knows what I'm talking about...
Yeah. They present a bit of a challenge. They're using real wolves at this stage, but then what do you do when they're full grown?
