?

If you had to choose between Holmes & Edwards, who would you go for?

  1. Holmes

    27.2%
  2. Edwards

    72.8%

I think there's no telling who'll get resigned or not and they're probably unrelated. I love Brad Smith as a player his versatility is very impressive but I wouldn't spend to much on him. I have no idea what his value as a F.A. is tho..

The fact that I'm here & I have no contract with the Jets says a lot...thanks for all the love fans!

It's a lot less now with the new kickoff rules probably.

And it is looking more and more like Braylon is a lock to return.. hopefully we can have both him and Santonio.

I love this attitude of his. He wants to be here, I think he has a real shot to become a big time player in NYC. He knows this too. It appears that he has turned himself around after the DUI too and you have to respect that.

We've got 4 QB's at this thing too. The fact that Clemmons is not one of them is telling. If I was O'Connel I'd be there as well. He's gonna be tough to keep around if the team wants to have Brunnell mentor Sanchize some more.

Was Powell not there? Both McKnight's and Kerley in the mid as well. Mark is unquestionably the right guy to be leading this team on the field.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious Clemens is gone. After that you have to figure the QB, RB, and one of the receivers we drafted are headed for the practice squad, as well as a couple D lineman from last year that are still eligible. It's not a bad problem to have when you have too many guys to fit on your 53 man roster.

Love the news that Smith and McElroy are there. I'm fired up. I'll try to head down on Thursday and see if I can get in. If not, will do my best while I'm in OC this weekend.

I love Braylon, too, but you gotta love him pointing to his lack of a contract on Twitter to generate some more kudos when everyone already knows it.

Edwards is the next jersey I want to buy if we resign him. I love the way he blocks, and I like what he brings as a receiver. His route running isn't always what I want it to be (though it was a lot better last year), but his hands were great all year last year. He got a few stupid penalties early in the season, but he stopped that.

Now, Rex was on record saying Holmes was the best player on the field in TC last year, so that probably means the Jets prefer Holmes. You could see it in the way they gameplanned later in the year. But Edwards was a far more consistent receiver for us, and he made some big plays.

I'm really excited to see Cumberland working in here. I hope he turns out to be a contributor for this team.

I hope there's time for Braylon to teach them how to Dougie.

it's not that unlikely that Scotty Mcknight makes the team... It becomes extremely likely if Holmes walks. If the Jets have any faith in Patrick turner I would be surprised.

I suspect the Jets add Ochocinco or Moss or somebody once free agency comes around. You don't want Edwards/Cotch/Turner as your top three WRs; you need a third solid wideout.

There's no way the Jets would sign Moss. He's done, finished. Also, I'd highly doubt they would sign Ochocinco, even though there's interest there from Ochocinco I believe. We just drafted 2 WR's, and we've got Brad Smith too.

We don't have Brad Smith. It's possible but unlikely that we are able to keep him as some kind of restricted free agent or that we-resign him, and he'd be a reasonable third wideout. But if we don't I predict a veteran signing--I don't know if it's Moss or Santana Moss or Ocho or Mark Clayton or Owens or somebody else, I don't watch a lot of film, and I agree that Moss doesn't have much left in the tahnk-but it's really unlikely that a superbowl contender would be content to have Kerley/Turner/McKnight as the 3-5 wideouts on the team.

^ In this video, Sanchez said "Holmes is trying to make it out.(to Jets West camp)"
-Cimini also tweeted he heard Holmes may be there at the end of the week.

He also said players whom are under contract "Better have a good reason to not be here."

Where is fat boy Shonn Greene?

Loved that play by Edwards. Can't believe he took the best corner in the AFCEast into the endzone with him!!
