Seems everyone is hungover so here I go... The Jets select Louisville RB Bilal Powell with their 4th round pick (126th overall). Completely under the radar, thoughts?
He should be really working as hard as possible on punt returning because we might very well be needed mightily now for that.
Wasnt this guy projected to go in the 6th round or later Im kind of scratching my head about this one
Why are we spending another mid-round pick on a RB for the third straight year when we need depth at so many other positions?
Well, we're most likely going to dump either LT or McKnight then (assuming we will carry 2 FB). We didn't carry 4 RBs last year, why would we this year?
Jimmy was great for us in PR just from a standpoint that he was reliable but McKnight has the ability to burst through and make game changing plays but just needs more seasoning at PR
If you like your guy you pick him when you like him not when you think he is going to be picked. They seem to be picking against the scouts but if they all work out then nobody will remember what the scouts said.
yeah i dont think this was the best pick we still need help in areas like te wr ol dl not rb unless like someone said lt isnt coming back and mcknight isnt what they thought(i thought he played well towards the end of the season)
NY Times had him as the 3rd best RB. http://fifthdown.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/04/15/n-f-l-draft-bilal-powell-third-ranked-rusher/ He dropped due to injury like Bowers.
I know, but it's still an NFL defense. I was just trying to point out that I don't think it would make sense to try to move him to another position after the way he looked at RB last year.
