The players, IMO, the Jets should target in Rounds 3-7.

Many players had visits with Gang Green.

    CB:

Davon House ...if still available, great press corner.
    Jalil Brown...underrated.
    Kendric Burney..ballhawk, good nickel CB.

    S:

Jaiquawn Jarrett...Eagles love him, if we move up in Rd 3, we may have a shot.
    Deunta Williams....big upside
    Eric Hagg...Jets have shown interest
Marcus Gilchrist....can play any position in secondary. Great returner.
    Joe Lefegee
    Tyler Sash
    Mark Legree
    Brian Lainhart

    DE/OLB:

    Steven Friday
    Ricky Elmore
    Ugo Chinasa
    Bruce Miller
    Cliff Matthews

    LB:

    Mike Mohamed
    Casey Matthews
Mark Herzlich......would be a great story.

    NT:

    Sione Fua
    Ian Williams
    Chris Nield

    WR:

    Tandon Doss
    Vincent Brown
    Edmund Gates
    Aldrick Robinson
    Jeremey Kerley
    Armon Binns

    RB:

Bilal Powell...Jets are interested, had injury stock fell.

    OL:

    Jah Reid
    Will Rackley
    Ray Dominguez
    Keith Williams
    Andrew Jackson

There are many more players the Jets could target, just my short list.

I think it'd be awesome if we went after a bunch of front seven guys with our first few picks.

Eric Hagg would be a heck of a player in this scheme.

DeAndre McDaniel and Kenrick Ellis are some other names I'd like to add to this thread.

No Rahim Moore? Out of the Safeties you've listed, I like the look of Gilchrist the most who seems to have the most coach-able weaknesses.

Mark Herzlich could be interesting, but not in the 3rd round please, BC love here.

My hope is that we draft a pass rusher though

Yeah, I'd love a near full defensive draft.

Id like Ryan Hill in the later rounds. He'd be a nice pickup and can play multiple positions.

In yesterdays presser, Ryan hinted at that by the lack of D players drafted since his tenure

Im still lobbying for Jerrell Powe, but since we took Wilkerson we may look else where in the third.

If the Jets draft a "nickle" corner in the third round I would be very dissapointed

I agree we need to continue to address the front 7 no need for a DB at this point.

    NO DB?????

    A safety is a DB.

It's almost certain we will draft a DB, mark it down!!!

I guess people don't understand my thread.

This entire list are players that should be availble Round 3-7. They're not all worth Rd 3 grades.

I doubt any player drafted in Rd 3 will start. A 3rd Rd CB, with Cro gone, would be a wise choice depending on who's available.

There is alway the (ridiculously) slim chance that Reed is there also. Parcells had him rated as a 4th rounder and when one of GMs of the teams picking at the end of the first round said that sounded about right. Probably just blind optimism on my part, the Pats will end up taking him at 33

Reed will be gone in the 1st 10 picks. If the Pats don't trade out, Reed is a strong possibility.

Outside of OLB, Safety is a paramount need IMO.
I know toward the end of the season, (ironically when Jimmy went out) we got better, but our safety play has me shitting bricks on most occasions.
A decent Safety would help out our CBs no end, especially if Cro is gone. Personally I think Cro is back

You're probably right, as I said blind optimism.

How bout Jeremy Beal? Quite a fall from someone I wanted in the first round months ago, but I think I would gladly take him in rd 3 despite poor combine and senior bowl

Rd 3 is a little early, I'd take him in Rd 5 or later. His stock has really taken a hit.

Short of moving up for Jarrett (which i wouldn't mind), do you think Gilchrist would be there at 3?
He seems like a guy you could play at S, line up in slot at Nickel, and return kicks.
